All it takes is 1 NFL owner or GM to fall in love with his speed, and athleticism and he’ll be selected far sooner than most think

^it always comes down to this.

He’s big, strong, and fast.
At times, he’s a capable deep ball thrower.

Somebody, somewhere thinks they can mold him into a starting NFL QB.

I'm thinking Strong Safety. With his speed, size and experience in attempting to read defenses, he would be All-Pro.

I'm saying someone drafts him in the 1st. So sig/avi bet or no?

Looks like I should have made a bet

Milroe was never getting drafted round one man

But they also made Hurts into a legit NFL Star so who knows. Proud for Hurts kid and family are winners.

Hurts could read a defense at least on the college level when he ws drafted. Milroe is still at HS JV team.

As an LSU fan I'm well aware that he's capable of a great game but he seems risky as a first rounder. A first round miss is a big miss.

I said it in a thread last night that it seems like NFL GMs finally were realizing what all of us CFB fans already knew: this years QB class was weak.

McShay had an interesting theory that turned out to be wrong.

Will be interesting to see what the Browns & Raiders do at the top of the 2nd round tonight.

Ideally Shough & Milroe both get taken then the lulz ensue

As a GM you would need nuts big enough to put in a wheelbarrow to take Milroe in the first. It would be a move that could legitimately end a career unless he morphed into a Super Bowl caliber QB. I have said all along that he could be a Taysom Hill kind of player and his football speed is legit. He has 4th round written all over him.

I had a 0% thought he would go in the 1st round. That he was in the Green Room was insane to me. Given how weak this QB class is I feel like he absolutely will be drafted tonight though.

I'm just secretly rooting that Cleveland and Las Vegas snatch up the other two QBs and somehow it convinces Jerry Jones to take Shedeur

I don't see him going tonight. I think he ends up in the 3rd or even 4th round.

When he left Bama, there was a long delay where he (and his camp) was silent about his future plans. From what I understand, he was told returning to Bama would not be an option due to no more NIL $$$$.
His camp knew he was not ready for the NFL and would likely not be a top draft pick much less a 1st round pick and so they tried to put out feelers to other college programs that would offer $$$$ NIL deals.
No takers and so the decision was made to opt for the draft and hope they could smokescreen and hype Milroe into a top draft pick.

You mean the guy who suddenly turned into a soccer player when he threw that pick against Oklahoma?

Milroe is a delusional selfish non-QB surrounded by greedy enablers who would rather get self glory and his team lose. He deserves very negative karma.
