Hurts got drafted by the right team.

and that GM will see his employment terminated in the next 24 months. As much as people are trying to make this kid out to be the next Michael Vick or Lamar Jackson he just isn't. And he never will be. Doesn't change the fact that he was an outstanding college QB.

No shot he goes first round. There aren't enough teams that need quarterbacks who will take a flyer pick on a guy who can't throw a football into the ocean

Fair, just comparing athleticism really

The NFL doesn't like it when players sit and don't get drafted, but it happens every year, even nowadays. See Will Levis just two years ago, Matt Corral and Malik Willis three years ago, etc. I haven't seen a single mock draft that has Milroe going anywhere near the first round, so I have my doubts about this take

That isn't guaranteed in the slightest. No one knows who is getting drafted and where they're getting drafted. Normally, the players that get an invite to the NFL Draft green room are getting drafted in the first TWO rounds, not just the first round. Even then, it's still not guaranteed that everyone that gets invited will be drafted in the first two rounds

The potential is there, but if you end up wasting a R1 pick on him, you’ll never hear the end of it

Everyone invited to Detroit last year was drafted in the 1st.

McShay start hitting the sauce again?

Not until I see an entire list of people who get invited

They only invited 13 players last year. Let's wait and see how many people get invited. In 2023, the NFL had 17 players attend the draft, and 5 of them didn't hear their names called in the first round
ETA: 3 out of the 21 players that were invited to the draft in 2022 didn't hear their names called until the third round (Corral, Willis, and Dean)

Watch the video in the OP bro.
If you still disagree that Milroe is going in the 1st Round, then let's make that sig or avi bet.

Pretty sad when fans from the team he played for in college don’t even think he is worthy and Bama fans are almost always glass half full concerning former players. I have said from Day 1 he is not a legit every down QB but could be a great Taysom Hill type player.

Just because the NFL hit on 100% of the invitees they had last year doesn't mean they're going to this year. History tells us that the NFL Draft has multiple invitees that don't get drafted first round almost every single year. Think about this logically - there are only six teams that would realistically take a QB in the first round: the Titans, the Browns, the Giants, the Saints, the Steelers, and the Rams.
-Milroe is not getting drafted in the top five. There's literally no way this happens, would be akin to taking Daniel Jones at six which basically ran the Giants' franchise into the ground for the past five years. The Titans are likely taking Cam Ward at one, so they're off the board.
-Milroe doesn't fit the system in New Orleans at nine, and they already have Derek Carr. The Saints also have other needs that can be filled by much better, more NFL-ready players like Tyler Warren. No team at the end of the first round is going to want to trade back ten or more spots for NOLA's pick at 40, so NOLA is likely out.
-No QB-needy team is drafting between picks 9-21.
-The Steelers are probably the strongest possibility in R1 without any trades, but I don't think Milroe at 21 makes sense. There are too many good players with much better draft grades left on the board at this point. Similarly to the Saints, if the Steelers don't trade back, they're not going to have enough capital to trade back into the first round using their second round pick.
-Milroe doesn't fit the Rams' offense, so it's unlikely he gets drafted at 26. Rams are out.
-The Giants will 100% take Shedeur before they take Milroe, so they're off the board.
-The only other way Milroe gets drafted in round one is if a team trades up from the second round. It would likely be the Browns who could trade up from pick 34 assuming Shedeur hasn't already been taken. The Browns are probably going to take Abdul Carter at two, so it might make sense that the Browns trade up for Milroe in the first round. However, why would they do that? Every other team that needs a QB and has realistic interest in Milroe has already taken a QB. They can still get Milroe at 34 and not have to trade away any of their picks.
-You can take the same scenario above and switch the Giants in for Cleveland, and it still plays out the same way.
-All of this to say, I think the only team that would realistically take Milroe is the Steelers at 21. If they take Milroe over Dart, I think they're making a mistake.
I'm not claiming to be some NFL Draft expert or anything, but drafting Milroe in the first round really seems like a bad idea no matter which angle you take. And again, it's way more common than uncommon that a few NFL Draft invitees don't hear their names called in round one.

They invited Brady Quinn once too. I'll say it again. Any GM that sticks their neck out and drafts Milroe in the 1st will be job hunting in under 2 years.

So sig/avi bet or no?

Milroe was a QB wanna-be cancer....Any team that drafts him will regret it and the person directly responsible to draft him should be fired.

Yeah, if you listened to the video, sport, you'd know that Quinn is the argument used to tell you he likely gets drafted. NFL doesn't want Quinn happening again and thus they invite very few to the draft these days. Last year they only had 13 invitees attend and they were all drafted. Some were mocked in the second, but they all wen in the first.

It's not a guarantee, but i'd say it's better than 50/50 he's drafted on the first night.
