Rockey Felker at Mississippi State. Head coach from 1986-1990. Came back in 2002 as an assistant.

I'd be okay with it. He has a ton of experience, and his style would mesh with CNS.
No way Shula works for Saban though. Too much pride. First arse-chewing and Shula walks off.

I’ll pass. Damien Harris would turn into Kenneth Darby

Mike Shula will never work for Alabama again. He sure as hell isn't working for the man who replaced him.

*Cough* Harris up the Middle *Cough*
Seriously our offense would be great between the 20's but would never score in the RedZone.

Damien Harris as Kenneth Darby? Wouldn't that mean he was getting more than 6 carries a game?

I'm all for him coming on as QB coach. I have no faith in him as an OC however.

I was in middle school at the time so I’m still curious how in the world Alabama went 11-2 in 2005.

I would gladly accept Mike Shula back as Bama’s OC.

Are you talking about the healthy Kenneth Darby of 2004 and 2005, when he rushed for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons? Or are we talking about the injured Kenneth Darby who ran behind the worst OL in recent memory in 2006?

Even 2005’s offensive line was crap. Auburn had 11 sacks that year. Remember honk if you sacked Brodie Croyle?
What about honk if you sacked Jarrett stidham?

We lost our best offensive lineman to injury in the Mississippi State game that year. You saw the collapse of our offensive line in the LSU game the very next week. It culminated with the 2005 Iron Bowl sackfest.
You have to remember we were still suffering from the devastating NCAA sanctions brought about by Albert Means in '05. The loss of an offensive lineman, in particular our best one, was absolutely devastating.

Be careful thinking like this. Reminds me of LSU fans during the Miles era.

I bet Saban brings in Tee Martin.
Vol fans will be so angry.
It would be pretty funny. Tee made a comment to a reporter a couple of weeks ago that he wasn't interested in making a lateral move to be an OC somewhere else and would only be entertaining HC offers. If he then went to be the OC at Alabama it would be pretty funny. It would also be funny because Alabama fans still hate him from his recruitment. Many younger people or fans of other schools forget that Tee is from Alabama and his signing with Tennessee was very controversial.

'specially after he threw a natty up on the board.
