Vanderbilt hasn't had the same starting OL twice this year due to opt outs and COVID, also starting a true frosh QB, on their 3rd string RB, had multiple defensive starters out for COVID protocols and still outgained MSU 2-1. I'm well aware that MSU is very talent deficient on offense but they are more talented than Vanderbilt.
This is the 3rd consecutive game where the offense has gained under 225 yards and 4th where they're under 300 and the show no signs of getting better. When Mike Leach gains 204 yards of offense against this miserably Vandy team, Derek Mason outcoached him.

Give leach 2-3 years and a chance to get his players in there. He runs a unique system and needs time to get it going on all cylinders.
People need to remember that Mullen went 5-7 his first year at miss state.
Leach will be successful there just like he’s been at every other stop given a little bit of patience.
