Human brains and lack of oxygen is one of the scariest things out there. It takes barely no time at all with even just reduced oxygen intake to cause permanent damage.

Terrifying.

Wouldn’t they have him getting at least some pretty good care in the meantime while they waited on the weather. Once his hearts beating again he’s getting oxygen or they have him on a machine . I know little about it obviously
Probably so and I'm not trying to stir things up. It would fit into "disturbing details" though.

Loss of oxygen to the brain could be before the original ambulance got there

Absolutely. Probably was if that happened.
It's the most disturbing part of this . A heart attack is one thing. The lack of oxygen is brutal.

If I’m not mistaken , when the heart stops , so does oxygen to the brain

You’re mistaken about what a heart attack is.

Yeah the “disturbing” part could mean some sort of loss of brain function which would be tragic even if he does pull through.

Yes. Which is why every family should take yearly CPR training. In a decent sized town there are free events you can find that offer it. You can call the firestation and ask for time.

Once and done isn't good enough.

In common language people often use heart attack to describe both a heart attack and cardiac arrest.

think it's the fact that they couldnt even air lift him out quickly bc of the weather. He may have been oxygen deprived for quite a long time and would mean he won't/can't recove

I hate to speculate about anything like this but I would assume the hospital he was at waiting to be airlifted out of (I assume in Starkville?) could give someone enough oxygen

To be clear that doesnt mean his brain wasn't deprived of oxygen earlier on in the event

Either way, prayers for Mike Leach and his family

Not everyone is an Aspie and wants to argue over the details. Heart attacks often lead to cardiac arrest.

It could be speculated he was not found immediately and the main damage occurred before he even reached the first hospital.

Karma will come for the trolls, I’d rather have 1000 good men like leach than any of the scum retards from the poli board. I hope he recovers, doesn’t sound good.

Last update from msu writers.

As far as Coach's condition goes, I am told he is stable. That is not to say he's doing well. He's not. The family will have to make some difficult decisions in the days ahead and that could actually come to a head on Monday. I simply don't know their feelings. My heart breaks for all involved. I do know that they need all of us. We must come together as a family in this difficult time. As concerned as we are about football, their entire lives are changing. We must be sensitive to that and support them all we can.

So je is stable as of now
