I've been tucked away from the world at Vandenberg Space Force Base, today, since early morning with no access to Internet except for a brief five minutes to check email about 5 hours ago. I just got settled in to my hotel by LAX Airport and settled into my room, and finally tune into Tigerdroppings and find out about Coach Leach. I'm in shock. He's been an amazing character that I've followed ever since the days when he wouldn't put up with Craig James' son's bullshite and Craig James, himself.
This is a sad day and now evening. I really enjoyed seeing him coach and talk to media at Mississippi State. He was a unique and complex man, and his kind will never be replaceable. God's speed on wings of angels, Mike. You will be missed immeasurably by the football world.

There is going to be a Memorial Service in the Hump, Tuesday, December 20th at 1P.

Always wished they could get him and Skip in front of a mike at the same time. Their senses of humor were very similar....
