Agreed. Both sides benefited.

Good luck getting Aggie to understand that. Aggie is a defensive bottom feeder, they can't imagine our ambivalence about losing a competent Chavis, because they have had incompetent defense forever. LSU NEEDED some energy and a new face in that locker room. LSU got two great additions. And Aggie got a revitalized Chavis who needed a change of scenery. Everybody wins and that game just gets more interesting for everybody.

No but he gave up 500+ yds many times and if not for the honey badger making takeaways WVU would have beat LSU that night in Morgantown

Is there anyway both sides can admit the situation may have been equally beneficial to each team?

I have said all along that Chavis move, as cowardly as he handled it even, was good for the aggy, LSU and for the chicken shite Chavis. chavis had gotten complacent AND does not take criticism well. he will be good at A&M for two or three years and then his recruiting weakness will dry up the talent.

Much like LSU.. A&M has other people than just Chavis to recruit.

It would be if we ever ran an offense that was designed to win instead of "not losing the game for us..." with toss dive, toss dive... even when 9 are in the box. LSU was mixing it up in the first quarter and it looked like we would have a new approach. Nope. Just another teaser. Toss dive... Sheeeeeeeet. Chavis has to be shaking his head today. Our defense was great. We didn't miss Chavis a bit, and that's the truth. What we got was the same conservative defense with a lead that's willing to give up 10 yards no matter what. What we got was the same offense that doesn't want to lose the game... Watching the Aggies offense is the hard part for me to swallow. Heck, you could have put 100 on Ball State. 1 freaking hundred. What does it matter what you your defense does when you can score a hundred points.

He only gave up 19 fewer yards against Mississippi State in Tiger Stadium last year and LSU's only turnover was on the list play of the game. I shudder to think of how many points he would have given up if our DB's were as bad as Clemson's and LSU had turned it over 4 times.
