"Committing" means absolutely nothing, and hasn't for about 10 years.
I've never been that deeply invested in recruiting. But 20 years ago when i was in college, when a Kid committed he stopped taking visits, and started recruiting other players to his chosen school...
Now you have kids committing, de-committing and recommitting in 24 hours.
It's completely laughable that they even call it "committed" these days. These kids don't know the meaning of the word commitment....

Alabama just landed a commitment from a 3* who doesn’t know Nick Saban quit at Alabama a couple years ago now

UGA fans will never forget losing consecutive games to Ed Orgeron by 20+
Flashback to all of the UGA fans filing out of the SECCG, at home, in the 3rd quarter because they were losing to LSU by 30 in a game UGA needed to make the CFP that meant nothing to LSU.
Then UGA did “Get The Gat” 4 years later because they clearly weren’t over how badly LSU embarrassed them with a CFP spot on the line…at home.

People are downvoting the OP, but can you imagine Saban being ranked as low as 58th in recruiting even with this much time left in recruiting season?
