Too late Ya I know his game. He flames like an old aTm bonfire then when he wants sensible discussion and doesn't get it he cries foul. I have zero respect for him. I can have a discussion all day with some bama fans concerning the ills of Auburn football and not be offended, but he will never be one of them.

We saw what they did against the only team with a good defense. They were above average on offense only because of TR, they made most of their money against the poor SEC Defenses. LSU knew if they stopped TR, then the game rested on AJ. I think they liked their odds with him

LSU is a great defense, and their bruising offensive attack couldn't do much against us either. Everyone else we blew the frick out, so deal with it Aub

Let me get this straight.....

All-Things-Auburn-Alahunter is complaining that he can't have a civil conversation about Auburn, with Auburn fans, in an Auburn flame thread? Every time I think I've seen the dumbest that TD has to offer......

Who were the 4 & 5 stars starting or got playing time?

Speaking specifically of the o-line?
Dismukes & Mack. However, Slade started over Westerman. Also, they guys who started over your 4 & 5 stars have all been in the program for a couple of years and didn't look good on the line (hence my player development comment). Again, I don't mean it as a flame and I think you know that, but your O-Line Coach was called by many AU fans last year when he turned down the Texas job "the best o-line coach in the country". If so, they should have performed better.

The AU o-line in 2010 was very good. In 2011 not so much. I'm sure 2012 will be much improved in that area. If not, AU will likley lose 4 games.

We are not talking about LSUs offense, we are talking about bama's. The only decent defense you faced (besides LSU) was FL, it is debatable if you can call them decent. The only other good defenses in the conference was GA and maybe SC, and bama did not play them.

My concern if I were an AU fan would be talent development.

Completely agree. I'm beginning to fear that Tubbs could coach them up, but couldn't recruit, whereas Chiz can recruit but can't coach them up.

Dyer managed to have a 1,200-yard season despite Auburn's struggles on offense was a testament to his talent. Auburn's passing game and offensive line were in constant flux and Dyer still averaged 5.1 yards per carry with defenses focused on him.

Against who? Definitely not SEC top tier. AU's offense ranked 104th in nation in YPG.

I didn't take it as a flame. I am just saying the majority of the 4 & 5 stars did not play. I won't pretend to know the reasoning. However, out of all the coaches who can develop players I feel Grimes is one who can do this. I would say that next year will be a better indicator for me if we have real talent development issues.

you don't have to be young to put two and two together, but I made it up anyway so it's not something the kids are saying these days anyway.

Well, I knew what you were saying because of the context, I had just never heard that phrase.

That too. I just think, the uncertainty of what Auburn really wanted to do hurt them some too, along with the inexperience.

The play calling this year was very questionable in some games...but then again I don't get paid millions to run an offense. Still not sure about throwing Frazier's redshirt away for no more than they did with him.

Overall I agree with your statement...probably the first time that has ever happend.

FWIW...I heard someone on talk radio last week saying Dyer was a primadonna...along with 1 or 2 of our young offensive line (Dismukes)...thought they shouldn't have to work as hard as others...if this is true I hope we cut all ties...no team needs those types of cancers...

Tell the weak Big 10. PSU is probably better than FL, but they are still not very good.
