The rankings still pertained to defense & the OP. If a defense is preventing offenses from consistently from going the length of the field or gaining yardage then it's also shows a difficulty to score against. In terms of LSU, the offense has had a high volume of turnovers so far this season, at times setting up the defense on short fields. So in general, all the defensive stats combined tell the complete story & not just a small piece.
