Only two teams ranked this week.

#15 Kentucky
#16 Auburn

Also Receiving Votes:

#27 LSU
#35 Florida
#36 Arkansas

Kentucky has now appeared in the Weekly Rankings 33 consecutive releases.... that's their program's 10th longest streak and the Conference's 24th longest streak all-time.

Auburn has now appeared in the Weekly Rankings 14 consecutive releasses.... that's their program's 4th longest streak and the Conference's 67th longest streak all-time.

We shouldn't be ranked... but I was kind of hoping at least one voter went the trendy route to give Alabama a little bit of cred after beating a previously undefeated team.

You win your next 4 games and you will be ranked. I think if either LSU or Florida win both of their games this week they will be ranked.

Florida sullied your trophy before the voters could react.

Lost nearly every vote we had for losing to a higher ranked Kentucky team. We'll have to win 6 straight games to get those votes back though. fricking AP.

We won't be ranked regardless unless we go on a 6+ game winning streak and that isn't going to happen. The lack of sec teams in the top 25 is hurting teams like us. We dropped in the AP poll because the national media isn't convinced we are a good team. When you don't play or beat top 25 teams then you are not going to be ranked.

The loss to Kentucky was a big letdown to both fans and media. EM was depressed and didn't have much to say. If we win then Arkansas is ranked I would say at 20th at best. But instead Arkansas will be viewed as just another solid team that will be on the NCAA bubble.

The line was -2 for a home game. Kentucky would be favored on a neutral court and at home.

My point is other teams can get these "quality losses" repeatedly and barely see a shift in their voting, but let us lose to UK and it's an 8 rank free fall while losing about 80% of our vote total. Doesn't matter we won our other conference game this week by 20. Just annoying to see the inconsistency in voting philosophy throughout the year.

Don't care for BB. It could disappear and it wouldn't be missed.

The only thing that can change conference perception is tallying a lot of wins this weekend. Big12 has 4 ranked in the top 18 of the AP. I think florida can pick off baylor and kentucky can take texas tech. Not a lot of hope for UT @ kansas and i don't trust mizzou to win @wvu. florida/uk wins to go with a handful of others will help with the narrative.
