Memphis looked better without Silverfield last night.

Nothing scares me about football, or maybe everything scares me about football. Most hog fans have become numb to it over the past several years.

They beat an unranked UNLV on the road. It was decent win but it wasn’t anything earth shattering.

Memphis is a stepping stone job. If he is good then he won't stay long.

I have nothing but a hunch, but I think the next hire for the Hogs is the one with staying power. Not sure why, just think they finally get the timing right.

Huff says all the right things. So far I like him a lot.
If he wins 8 this year he might move up within a year.

The Ryan Silverfied hire needs to be the one with staying power.
If he fails then Arkansas will turn into a true perennial loser.
If he succeeds then he can have a long stay in Fayetteville considering how low the expectations are.

It looked like Memphis took the game away from Arkansas.
Memphis did have a RB carry a 350 pound DT for 20 yards to clinch the game.

I don't hate Hogs
The Golden Boot doesn't mean anything when Hogs are decade into worse slump of modern history.
Arkansas knows what it takes to be top 10 team, they refused to hire the big names. It is self inflicted. They proved the formula with Calipari, proved they know what to do.

I'm not sunshine pumper, but the first game for someone's ex program can be spun however you want.
If they win, it can be "Haha they don't need your coach. They upgraded after he left."
If they lose, it can be "Haha your guy sucks at developing players. Those are still his guys and they lost!"
I have no expectations this year, but that Memphis UNLV game is pretty meaningless for us.
