One question any Moon landing denier can never seem to answer is why do other countries seem to agree that the US did indeed land on the Moon? Especially the Soviets, who would have had the most to gain by debunking a fake landing story. Sure, our government will lie to us but why are all of these other governments also lying to us?

Here you go slugger, here is the answer.

It is the same reason other countries don’t leak lots of our secrets. They are more valuable to use as blackmail leverage than as a public gotcha. Other countries knew JFK was plowing Marilyn. They didn’t say a word. Other countries know most if not all of the people on the Epstein list. But they haven’t gone public. Once they do they can’t use it as leverage. That is the way blackmail works - I know a dirty secret, I will keep it if you play ball. Once a dirty secret is public it has little value. I can give you any number of other examples both large and small.

It is the same with the manned lunar landings, if they were in fact faked.

The other reason is simple and has been proven time and time again. If there is one thing that unites Americans it is to be attacked by a foreign enemy. We can hate each other and fight each other every day. But attack us physically or verbally, and almost all Americans will unite against the foreign enemy.

If you wanted to rally everyone around the US moon landings, the best way to do it would be for Russia to publicly claim they never happened. Skeptics would be knocking each other over to argue that they did happen. Because Russia said they didn’t.

The cold war space race was all about at least matching what the other side did. But when the U.S. landed people on the moon the Russians didn’t. Neither have the Chinese done it. Seems strange neither of them did it just to be able to say “see, we can do it too”.

No one has actually been able to see any of the discarded lunar landers from the Apollo program with a telescope, despite the fact we now have telescopes 100x more sensitive and advanced than the Hubble Space Telescope.

1) You would need a mirror about the size of the football field to see the lunar rover. One does not exist. The biggest one under construction is about half that size.

2) And why do you think they put the Hubble into orbit? Why not keep it on earth instead of spending billions putting it into orbit? Gonna let you in on a secret. Because the atmosphere distorts the hell out of images once you get to a certain point. It's a big arse blur and you can't see shite.

That’s less a matter of intelligence and instead a desire to hold some knowledge that is not commonly held.

That mentality is why a lot of conspiracy theories gain traction despite not only having no evidence but, in fact, have many studies debunking them.

It makes sense to be able to blackmail a singular person or a very small group of people, not so much for an entire country.

Also, it's been so long at this point that if there were any legitimate doubt whether the US landed on the Moon, it would've been uncovered. As has been with JFK/Marilyn Monroe.

Sure, but who cares what Americans think? If you're the Soviets in the 60's and 70's, your audience is your own people and the rest of the world. You don't give a shite what Americans believe.

This was a demonstration of capitalism vs communism. America was already a capitalistic country.

LOL. I question when I'm given good reason to question them. For instance, when a bunch of people are gung ho about the Epstein Files. Get in office when they can open them and then tell you there's nothing to see there and don't let you see. Strange.

But if my evidence is we didn't have microwaves (when we did) or we didn't have color tv (when most shows were broadcast in color), then yeah. That's not very convincing.

That, and people have seen some of these conspiracy theories come true.

At this point the conspiracy theorists don’t have a horrible batting average.

The government would never infect people with diseases to study them, crazy conspiracy theorists. Oh, wait, the Tuskegee Experiments.

The US government would never try mind control on U.S. citizens, crazy conspiracy theorists. Oh, wait, MKULTRA.

The FBI would never conduct surveillance on everyday citizens and they wouldn’t use it politically, crazy conspiracy theorists. Oh, wait, cointelpro, tea party audits, the steele dosier, russian collusion.

The CIA would never use the media to influence the public, and they certainly wouldn’t enlist journalists to infiltrate media organizations, crazy conspiracy theorists. Oh, wait, Operation Mockingbird, Twitter suppression, facebook algorithms.

The government would never even considering staging false terror strikes, false flag events, against their own country, crazy conspiracy theorist. Oh, wait, Operation Northwoods.

There is not a private island in the Caribbean where the rich and famous go to have sex with minors, that could never happen you crazy conspiracy theorist. Oh, wait, Epstein Island.

Again, the government and media do not have a great track record. Automatically dismissing something because it is labeled a conspiracy is foolish.

Why does the media and government try to demonize “conspiracy theories” and “conspiracy theorists”? And why are so many things labeled conspiracy theories?

Would you then say that technology, especially computer science, was very advanced in the late 1960s? I think it is dumb of him to even mention microwaves and color TVs. They didn’t need color TV and a microwave to fly to the moon, land, survive, and then successfully fly back. They needed computers. But I get his point, technology was not that advanced in the 1960s.

Using the technology argument has never really made any sense because there are various "advances" and records that were set historically, where there was less "technology" than today.

If technology is the end all be all, then man should be doing more today than they ever have before but instead the land speed record was set in the 90's and the air speed record (crewed) was set in the 70's.

"In 2010, former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy was a prominent finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, which offers study at Oxford University. While not ultimately selected, McElroy was lauded for balancing elite athletics with a 4.0 GPA in graduate school and a 3.82 undergrad GPA, being named 2010 ESPN Academic All-American of the Year.

I’d say the laser retroreflectors on the surface are evidence that we have 100% been on the moon. Vandy grads will know.
