Put Fitz on Bama, they win the NC. Put Hurts on State. It's ugly.

How exactly? They are almost the same player. Run like running backs, extremely raw and young in the pass game.

The Nick Fitzgerald I watched all season wasn't going to be beating Washington or Clemson with his arm the same way Hurts couldn't.

Meh, they were all freshman other than Allen.

It should be light years better for all 4 of them next year.

It's the fact that those 4 freshman are the best in the conference that is worrisome

Agree, there was a rough gap from Mett, Manziel, McCarron, Shaw, Murray to next year (hopefully).

Real rough

Nick Marshall, too.

There are a lot of unproven guys in the SEC right now. And out of the proven guys, some don't seem all that talented to me, while most are incredibly young.

Quarterback play is what has killed the SEC in recent history. Really recent, IMO.

True, I was really thinking of 2012 but 2013 as well when Marshall arrived. It was a helluva lineup across the league.

I have no recollection of this year. Pretty sure it didn't happen.

Nope he redshirted in 2014 and was Dak's backup in 2015. He will have two years left starting next fall.

Solid list, 4 of those guys were freshmen right?
All are legit QB's IMO and looks like the SEC will have a fine QB class hitting the draft in a couple years. I'm confused though where is the -siah from lsu?

If we keep trying to force those passes, yes. The only reason we kept trying was for recruiting purposes

Hurts torched Auburn, Arkansas, State, and Kentucky. He had good games against A&M and UT and Ole Miss.

He had three bad games down the stretch against REALLY good defenses. One of which when his OC apparently didn't show up and another with an entirely new OC and a week to prepare.

All in all, the guy is pretty solid.

52% of his completions were behind the LOS or quick routes to the WR on the right side. that's crazy

From CFB stats twitter..
Uncatchable pass rate on throws 10+ yds downfield
Hurts: 40.2%

Uncatchable pass rate (excluding passes behind LOS)
Hurts: 26.9%

Jalen Hurts is completing 47.6% of his passes thrown more than 5 yards

Passing chart prior to Clemson game (13/31, 41.9%, 131 yds, 88.09 QBR)
