Jalen Hurts is #2 which is embarrassing enough but whatever his name is from Miss St. is #1.

Neither one of those guys can throw worth a damn. What is the deal with QBs in the SEC?

Don't blame him, there are not 5 QBs worth remembering.

Unfortunately Allen has an issue w/ body language when things don't go his way... which happened a lot down the stretch this year.

Gets mopy and 'woe is me'.

Needs more 'frick you'.

Eh, dude gets a pass for staying in the game late against Texas A&M while Bert was trying to have him killed.

I saw the show. The reason Allen wasn't higher was because of his tendency to throw picks and his Oline sucked.

It's like nobody on this board understands that NFL qb's and college qb's are different.

Hurts torched Auburn, Arkansas, State, and Kentucky. He had good games against A&M and UT and Ole Miss.

He had three bad games down the stretch against REALLY good defenses. One of which when his OC apparently didn't show up and another with an entirely new OC and a week to prepare.

All in all, the guy is pretty solid.

This is defiantly something that was an issue in the 2nd half of the year. Just trying to do too much in some spots.

Problem is that you're probably going to play really good defenses to win the national title.

UA had only 2 series of more than 5 plays, which directly led to 99 plays for Clemson. That'll get you beat nearly every time vs a good team. I said as much about the middle of the season, when it was becoming clear that the defenses had figured out that if you contain and have decent pressure against Hurts, he probably could not beat you with his arm. Hopefully he improves, but there is no guarantee.

Yeah but we are talking about best returning qbs in the SEC. He did great against the SEC with a couple of hiccups.

I mean his stats shite on Eason's and are fairly comparable to Austin Allen (who is a junior).

The argument when you talk numbers always shifts to "well he plays with better players". Well he's going to again next year and he's going to play a lot of those same teams he played last year.

And if he doesn't develop a consistent intermediate and long passing game, we'll lose again.
