Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) is a public land grant university with an affiliation to the Big 10 and an undergraduate enrollment of 45,000 students.

It is but this is misleading, Penn st, Pitt and a couple other schools in Pennsylvania adhere to the commonwealth of education giving more liberties to the school while maintaining state funding. They are unique in they operate as a public/private school hybrid.

They should be Big XII, along with Iowa St and the two Kansases. It's a regional thing-- Missouri is pure Midwest, that's where they need to be. SEC needs to remain the way it was-- purely a Southern conference with strong ties to the former Confederacy.

He did it completely football related which I get but Auburn is more like Purdue. Large state universities that don’t use the state name. Both are land grants known for engineering.

LSU-Wisconsin

Both schools would win drinking championships in their conference and by a wide margin.

No rational person would ever think this

LSU doesn't have a perfect B10 comp, but OSU is the closest. If you are 55 years old or younger, you've seen Ohio St. and LSU win the same number of natties (3 each). To me, that supersedes any comparison with programs like Wisconsin that have 0.

Michigan and USC have won more natties than OSU so to me they're at a higher level historically.

You could make a case for Penn St. or Washington, but I can't ignore no titles since 1986 and 1991 respectively.

BTW, setting the B10 aside, Georgia is the perfect LSU "cousin".

-4 natties each
-solid but not elite pre-2000
-Academic historical rival (Tulane/GT)
-Big city recruiting base anchor (New Orleans/Atlanta)

The A&M Penn State thing is true because both schools: 1) Both are Land Grant universities under the Morrill Act 2) Both are in rural college towns that revolve completely around the University 3) Both are massive schools, although A&M took it up a notch 4) Both have a monolithic differing cultures that rest on time honored traditions and are viewed as kind of weird by outsiders. A&M moreso. Both indoctrinate new students into a particular way of doing things. 5) Both groups have extreme investment in athletic programs that underachieve. I talked to the Penn State rep at a college career fair for my kid and she said A&M is viewed as the Penn State of the south up there and vice versa down her

And yall both like to diddle boys. At least A&M prefers them of age.

Penn State is a good fit but he isn't nearly as attractive as my cousin, so wouldn't be caught kissing Penn State. Plus, you know, little boys. At least we wait till they're grown.

Cultural outliers LSU, … Wisconsin

You are retarded. Both schools are culturally perfect fits for their respective conferences and damn near mirror images of each other outside of the ultimate success LSU has had

There’s nothing similar About these programs.

Spurrier revolutionized the game with the fun and fun offense.

Oregon and Chip revolutionized the game with the power spread, hurry up no huddle.

Both have atrocious uniforms.

Tennessee is definitely Minnesota. Both powerhouses in segregation days who became permanent afterthoughts.

I see what you are trying to say... but Minnesota football actually integrated in the 1890s...

Not sure if I agree with this.

Wisconsin is one of the most liberal schools in the country and has a top tier academic pedigree. It is known for not really caring about major sports but having Olympic caliber smaller sports ranging from hockey to towing to wrestling.

LSU features ultra right wing pizzagate QAnon paranoiacs and its academic rep is slightly above Navarro Junior College.

Madison is one of the great college towns in the country and set amidst a pristine and gorgeous backdrop.

Baton Rogue is a crime ridden Superfund site.

I would agree that the kids are major drunks and the school has a very quirky culture.
