I think with a healthy defense, Shoop's second year, and the additions of Hoke and Warren, our defense is going to surprise a lot of people.

We're replacing a lot of talented players, but the ones coming in are also very talented albeit relatively young and inexperienced. Fortunately these replacements are coming at positions that are easier to adjust to at the collegiate level. Overall, Tenn is a very well-rounded team this year, and imo is being largely underrated due to our injury-laden and miscue-prone team from 2016. I think we'll really see what we bring to the table in games 1 and 3, and we will only get better as the season progresses.. barring injury.

I think missou will be top 5 SEC minimum offensively, but they did struggle mightily in conference. Big difference I think is Crockett will get a huge number of carries this year

So the #15 ranked defense that returns 10/11 of its starters and an elite defensive staff is going to drop 4 points? Did they pull this list out of their arse?

In my job, I occasionally have to create reports on customer projections, financials, etc...usually, I end up looking at the results and see something that looks wrong and have to go back and tweak it. It's like whoever created this didn't bother to do that. There is so much on here that is wrong, they should have easily concluded that their calculations were off. Instead, and let me be a homer for a moment, they have Auburn's offense at 49th behind Arkansas, TAMU and Mississippi State, and right on par with Florida...and D at 10. Auburn has way more ?'s on D than O. The only way I can figure they came up with this is ranking on recruiting stars only and ignoring what actually has happened on the field of play.

Then there is no way Arkansas and Miss. St would be ahead of Auburn

Good point...I don't know how in the hell they came up with this...but they missed the mark over and over again, by a mile.

Yes they did struggle. But some struggling was bound to happen due to their ages. RB was a frosh, QB was a soph, 2 of the 3 top WR's were Frosh. Plus new OC. I expect a good size leap from last year. We started to see that in the last 2-3 weeks. Had no trouble with UT or Arkansas.

Eh, I don't think the list is that off. Can always make arguments about moving some teams up and down

He has LSU going 11-1 with their only loss coming from Bama.
Auburn is the next highest in the division at 9-3 with losses to Clemson, LSU and Bama. Ole Miss 9-3
Arkansas 8-4
Texas AM 7-5
Mississippi State 5-7

Vols will have a top 20 defense and offense this fall and top 5 ST's.

Gonna be a fun ride.

Either recruiting stars or they just looked at the end of last season and how teams finished.

FSU is projected to lose 3.4 games? I haven't seen them as dogs to anyone but Alabama so far.
LSU at 3 losses? Auburn at 4.5?

Unless they were just looking at last year, I don't see Clemson with the top offense, either. Defense at 3 is at least within the realm of possibility, but don't even know who the QB is yet.

There is a big drop-off from 2-3 in that PWR category, whatever that is.

Hmmm...ok, let's run thru this...according to these rankings:
1. This is the best LSU team in a LONG time
2. Florida is going to run roughshod over the East in spite of having a poor outlook on O...won't feel any of their substantial losses on D
3. Tennessee not only won't miss Josh Dobbs, Alvin Kamara, WR Malone or their 3 OLinemen they lost, they are going to be leaps and bounds better this year on O.
4. UGA is going to suck balls and has no chance at winning the East.
5. AU will have world class D but will forget how to play Offense
6. South Carolina will be dead last on O...in spite of bringing back 9 starters having the benefit of Jake Bentley for the entire year, no longer as a true freshman thrown to the wolves..he is going to be a good one.

Just to name a few that stood out to me

I was purely looking at the offensive order for the SEC. Mainly your issue with Auburn below Arkansas and Miss st. I don't think that is unreasonable

I will admit that I believe this is totally off though and Tenn to a lesser degree

That is kind of funny. Are Georgia fans expecting their defense to be top in the SEC?

Well, Arkansas will have the best offense in the SEC. So yeah, the list is shite.

Come on man. We will probably be top 3 and one of the best (top 25) in the country. I'm not sure about the best though.
