what was the value of the bibles? Did he give them to any student that wanted one? Does this break NCAA rules?

Fiction is fun! He might as well give his players the Harry Potter trilogy

Richt is nothing like Freeze. He’s a genuinely good man who cares about his players and actually practices what he preaches.

Richt is probably going to get some blowback for that. I have no problem with it myself and think he is a good, sincere person but there is a segment of our population who will be flat out triggered by this.

Richt doesn’t know that kids don’t roll joints anymore, they smoke that wax stuff. Bless his heart.

True story: When I was in HS, a friend of mine actually rolled a joint using paper from their Bible. Freaked me the frick out.

Oddly enough, the bible is a recommended textbook in several classes.

If Coach Abdullah gave all his players a copy of the Quaran I'm guessing more than a few people would be offended.

sure they would, because the world is full of pussies just looking to be offended. the great part is they are just as free to frick right off as Richt's detractors are. that's what makes America great.

So we can expect these players to be declared ineligible for 5 weeks, right NCAA?

According to the story.
