I got the impressions he meant fans. I don't think the team is doing anything but preparing to play Bama. I dont know this for sure, but that is what I would be doing.

Actually he clarified that before he went off that he was speaking as a fan. He really thought this out before he spoke. He has sbeen thinking about this a lot. He really is one of ya'll. I can tell.

Not trolling this time, bro, both he and Gmac think it is wrong for White to sit out. Spears hated the call and GMac was talking about changing the rule due the severity of the targeting. Meaning not all targeting should come with a suspension. I disagree with Gmac, it was not targeting at all, as far as I understand the rule.

he did say this, also said that he is an lsu fan. talked about how fans need to understand that football today is not like it was in the past. he said that when he played in college and the nfl vicious hits were celebrated ( did NOT say the white hit was vicious) but in the current football climate (with the concussion concerns) fans have to understand that the rules were put in place to protect players. spears said the call was correct within the current rules. both he and gmac said they would like to see a modification where the intent & severity of the targeting could be reviewed to determine whether sitting is an appropriate punishment.
spears also said that he and white are friends and talk every week.
it's a very thoughtful analysis of the situation. not sure if it can be linked yet as it just aired about thirty minutes ago. very worth a listen for anyone who is really interested in hearing both sides of the situation.
