Makes no sense for Kentucky to not be ranked

They beat a top 10 team and was leading another at halftime. And yet A&M is ranked and they are not. Kentucky should be something like 18 to 20 based on games played so far.

I think getting waxed by 4 TDs at home is too fresh on people's minds despite what they did to aggie. They may get in this week with a strong showing vs South Alabama

Losing in a blowout to Alabama didn't help. That right there is the reason.

Yeah, we're accustomed to the voter disrespect, so no big deal there.
But honestly, not sure beating aTm is going to end up being that big of a deal.
Don't get me wrong, it was a huge deal at this point in the season and in Stein's career and for the players and fans and for the fact that it was in their house, but in a few more weeks, aTm may have proven to be a mirage. Jury is out.
Like the previous guy said... all we can do is win the next game.
Good news: there was a lot that UK could've done better, so there's plenty of room to grow still!
Chef's kiss to the third quarter, though.... that was some of the best football I have ever seen from UK... we could beat anyone playing like that.

If we keep winning it wont matter but we didn't even make a bowl last year so we had no preseason votes. Is the A&M game a fluke? Was the Bama second half more realistic? Who's to say at this point.

We do have 2 wins over 2025 playoff teams this year though. So we got that going for us.

The biggest problem with the polls has always been it uses number of losses as the primary criteria to rank teams, which is completely absurd because your number of losses at any given point in time is as much a function of your schedule as the quality of your team.
It also punishes teams too much for losing to teams they are actually supposed to lose to.

I didn't expect us to get ranked until we beat South Alabama and South Carolina the next two weeks. We're #27 based on votes now, so I'm not sweating it.

That’s just part of not being a traditional program with consistency.
Keep winning and it’ll solve the issue of not being ranked. Big opportunities the next two weeks IMO.
