Seriously tho, kicking game? Didn't see how or if this was handled in the scrimmage. I have read decent things about our guys but being out of state I don't get the nightly news reports.

Yea, that's the big one. Toby Baker and Blake Johnson are the candidates to replace our departed Aussie punter. As far as I can tell, both are doing pretty well.

We do have a returning placekicker, but he's been very mediocre so far. I didn't see any mention of him in today's practice, but Cole Hedlund and Lane Saling both hit a couple of FG's. Hedlund's our scholarship kicker, so hopefully he'll earn it. However, Saling is a great name for tFlagship.

Click on any thread and you'll find an Aubbie talking about Arkansas. They just can't seem to get Arkansas off their feeble minds.

Tight-end / h-back

H-back will be solid between Cox and Pettway. Might be an adjustment period though since neither has experience.

TE a manageable hole considering we don't use a true one often. It'll be interesting to see how we use Laye and Harris, considering Pettway and Cox have the true H-back spot locked down and they can both catch.

RB - we need to find a starter, but we will be fine. All 4 guys are very good and have potential to be Auburn's next rusher to lead the SEC

OL depth- Our starters should be one of the best groups in the SEC, but not so sure about our depth at OG and OT

P- we need a good and consistent option here. Reports haven't sounded too bright.

OT depth could be an issue, but at guard and center we will have potential starters sitting on the bench since the battle for those spots are still up in the air.

OT and secondary. Staters will be good to great. After that there is quite a drop-off.

I don't know why other Auburn posters are saying RB and that we need to find a starter. Gus's MO is the same every year; split carries the first 2-3 games and the starter will reveal himself. It is what Auburn should do with the talent at RB. I think it has worked out very well for the Tigers so far. SEC leading rusher 2 straight years.

I like our 2 deep at safety. Ruffin looked great last year as a true freshman. Roberts has loads of talent, he just needs to get his head on straight. I'd think Irvin could play safety and be very good if needed too.

CB depth has had me concerned, but the more I read out of fall practice the better I feel about it.

Blake Countess and Jonathan Jones should start and both have been all-conference before. Freshmen Carlton Davis and Javarius Davis have been impressive in fall camp by all accounts.
Holsey has always been a baller for us when healthy, and he fits the Nickel like a glove IMO. I feel good about Tim Irvin in that spot too.
Hopefully TJ Davis won't be out too long and can return to bolster the depth.

If everybody stays healthy we'll be okay and have a great unit. If any of Jones, Countess, or Holsey goes down then we'll be in trouble

I probably should have been more specific. I am more worried about CB depth than safety depth.

The rest of the "holes" are going to be upgrades by new players most likely.

Oh my God. You actually believe that, don't you?

This. Our punting game was a huge plus in '13, and hurt us badly last season. Don't know why we're having so much trouble finding a decent option this year.

OL (especially tackle) will be the biggest hinderance to success. I will also add punter, only because we are replacing Darr who really did an excellent job last year and it seems was mostly unnoticed. Hopefully his replacement does a decent job because field position is so huge.
