Lawrence is an above average QB with elite measurables. The bust potential is honestly pretty high with all the QBs in this draft.

Quality assessment in my opinion.

I would be afraid of drafting any bama QB high simply because of the past. The book is still out on Tua, but he was pulled multiple times last season. It was a covid year and he was a rookie, but at times he looked really lost. Every other bama QB during the saban years has held the clipboard.

After reading this dumbass post, I can assure you that you'll not be asked to do any drafting.

The first game was close with a backup QB and the second game was aa blowout with Lawrence. Tell me again how the talent level was closer in the second game. PS Lawrence doesnt play defense. DUMBASS.

I am in the minority, but I think he will make a great pro.

A draft pick is an educated guess and I think him, Fields and Lawrence are all "safe" picks.

I thought Putt-Putt had lights. Or are you just trying to beat the Spring Break crowd?

If you pick a QB in the Top 10, he is going to be a starter his first year. Which QB would you feel comfortable with throwing out there next year and keeping your job as a GM?

I understand what you mean, but this literally has nothing to do with Mac Jones' potential for success.

By that logic, Cam Newton started many games and had success in the NFL, so Bo Nix must be worthy of a high draft pick.

The bust potential is high for every pick. No QBs drafted in the first round from 2009-16 are set to be on their original team in 2021

Besides Alabama 2018 team he didn't have his best games against teams in the Top 40 net defensive efficiency rankings over his college career.

And Lawrence is still riding the wave from that game just over two years later. He's a good QB but I just don't see what the NFL scouts see. I know he's talented but nothing about him screams sure-fire All-Pro like so many others claim.

First game:

Notre Dame 47
Clemson 40

Second game:

Clemson 36
Notre Dame 10

It wasn't "closer." Clemson just had more players out in the first game, especially on defense.

No shite.

Thats why your "point" makes no sense.

Yeah, by Bama fans. How many people outside the Alabama fan base were saying someone should take a chance at him in the first round? Literally no one. The difference between McCarron and Jones is that the latter is being seriously talked about by so-called "experts" and NFL scouts as a first rounder AND Top 5 pick.

Also, last time I checked McCarron is still in the NFL.

Watch out for that windmill hole, someone your age doesn’t need to be distracted by a teen in bikini bottoms.

so media members are now "experts"? You do realize these are media members "mock drafts", right?

Again, as a clipboard holder.

Geno Smith is still in the NFL too.

You think a rookie QB struggling on a team that was bad enough to pick in the top 10 is going to cost a GM his job? Maybe if it's the last chance for a guy who built the team that ended up picking top 10, but a GM hired to rebuild a bad team isn't losing his job over a rookie struggling. They're drafting based on who they think will be the best 4-5 years from now.

I think Tua and Jones have a good chance of having long careers as FG holders.

I'm all for getting after Sidewalker when neccessary but he's been surprisingly impartial in this thread.
