Every QB besides Lawrence is a big risk, especially in the first round.

Why don't you think Lawrence is a risk?

Comparing Mahomes and Watson to Fields is a massive stretch. Plus, I'm sure there's never been a black QB drafted ahead of a white QB that didn't work out.

The color of the player really doesn't matter. It's whether they can play or not. The color only matters to the woke crowd. They're driving the lines between color while calling everyone else racists.

I agree, and am very nervous about my Niners potentially drafting him. Word is the Jets may take Fields #2. I'd be fine with either Mac or Zach Wilson.

He is a sheep who only believes what he hears on espn woke media. They have already been crying saying that if mac goes before fields its because of racism. But IMHO Trevor will be the bust. He has a strong arm but is inaccurate, he is living off of the bama nc game . But if you watch it over he made a lot of 50/50 throws that his wr's caught. Couple of one handed catches and one where the db slipped down. He has the tools but I don't think he is accurate enough.

I also don't think Lawrence is going to set the NFL on fire. He really did make a career off of beating Bama. Sounds like another hyped QB from a few years back. He'll end up a mid level QB... decent, but not a HOF lock like he's portrayed. Fields is Winston 2.0.
No idea about Lance...total gamble there.

The past two seasons, Lawrence has had his worst passer ratings against:

LSU (101)
Georgia Tech (114)
North Carolina (128)

Has had his best against:

Citadel (355)
Boston College (257)
Wofford (251)

Has lost two out of three CFP games, and has thrown five interceptions in his last six games.

Some of his advanced stats this past year were shockingly low, which is probably why he didn’t win the Heisman.

So of course he’s a risk. Every player getting drafted is a risk.

Lawrence would have been the top pick in the 2020 draft if he was eligible. He is not a one hit wonder. You saw what happened to Clemson without him. To elevate any QB in a Covid year is just a GM waiting to get fired.

You mean the time their backup threw for 439 yards and 2 touchdowns and they scored 40 points? That time?

Then later when Lawrence played Notre Dame, he threw for 322 yards, 2 touchdowns and a pick, and they only scored 36 points.

You're right, Iron's Puppet, massive falloff.

It's commonly known that Fields has had occasional trouble reading his progressions. Jones'strong suit is his ability to read his progressions quickly, and make good decisions (like Brady).
Lawrence is no more of a lock at QB than any of the other 1st rounders. History has proven this over and over.

Yeah Lawrence has all the tools to succeed in NFL but your arguments surrounding Mac being worthy of a Top 10 pick has been on field metrics which you haven't applied to Lawrence.

Besides Alabama 2018 team he didn't have his best games against teams in the Top 40 net defensive efficiency rankings over his college career.

Who played and who didn’t. You dumbasses want to compare games during a Covid year without asking that simple question. How many players missed practice time?

You clearly didn't do any research besides noticing that they won with him playing and lost without him playing.

Actually, you were the one who tried to make that comparison, "dumass."

Also, just for the record, Clemson was much more shorthanded the first game against Notre Dame than in the second so really not sure what you're trying to argue here.

Its why they gave up 40 on defense the first game vs 10 in the second game.

I would be afraid of drafting any bama QB high simply because of the past. The book is still out on Tua, but he was pulled multiple times last season. It was a covid year and he was a rookie, but at times he looked really lost. Every other bama QB during the saban years has held the clipboard.

Lawrence is an above average QB with elite measurables. The bust potential is honestly pretty high with all the QBs in this draft.
