Having nine picks this year, do you think they'll stay with the #4 overall or trade for more?

Not the answer you want, but with a new coach and GM, I have no idea. Just thank God it's not Dimitroff's stupid arse making the decision.

I am in the minority, but I think he will make a great pro.

It will be interesting to see what happens after the first two picks. If you don't want a QB might want to trade down and pick up extra picks this year

Given the proper system, there's really no reason why he shouldn't excel.

He's obviously not a dual-threat guy, but I still think there's something to be said for a pro-style pocket passer who's capable of making the throws (and knows where to go with the ball).

One where he never gets pressured, his receivers are better than almost every DB they face, and his RB is one of the best in the league.

Here's how I look at things, unless they are a despicable person, I hope all players from all universities do well when they leave their school. Once they leave a school I no longer dislike em. If they were a great player at their school, like Joe Burrow, etc, I respect em even more.

49ers is a great organization for any rookie QB. Has some good offensive weapons and Shanahan’s offensive approach with qb’s speaks for itself.

Last 5 games against teams that finished ranked

Justin Fields
2019 Clemson: 30/46 320 1 td 2 int
Indiana: 18/30 300 2 td 1 int
Northwestern: 12/27 114 0 td 2 td
Clemson: 22/28 385 6td 1 int
Bama: 17/33 194 1 td 0 int

99/164 (60%) (1313 yards 8ypa) 10 td 6 int

Big Mac
Texas AM: 20/27 435 4 td 1int
Georgia: 24/32 417 4 td 1int
Florida: 33/43 418 5td 1int
Notre Dame: 25/30 297 4td 0int
Ohio State: 36/45 465 5td 0int

136/177 (76%) (2032 11.5ypa) 22td 3int

But to be fair, Mac was on a completely stacked team whereas Ohio State is completely devoid of talent

The Falcons are who caused this. Jones is Shannahan's man and he was going to get him at 12th pick. But then he heard that Atlanta wants Jones to understudy under Ryan and was going to pick him at 4, and Jones is the only qb Atl is interested in this year. So SF traded up to 3 to make sure he gets his man. Now if the powers that be change Shannahan's mind(unlikely) and SF gets smebody else, Then Atlanta will take Jones. Jones will be 3 or 4 either way. But SF hired the best availabe qb evaluator and qb coach in the world as their head coach in Shannahan. Hard to imagine he doesn't have the final say. And he says Jones.

Mac doesn’t have a cannon, but he is incredibly accurate and made 2nd and 3rd reads routinely, none of which Fields can claim.

If you want skinny Cam Newton as a ceiling draft Fields, if you want Drew Brees as a ceiling go with Mac.

But both will still need offensive lines and functional offensive systems or they will bust regardless of talent, something that many fans fail to take into consideration.

Aaron Rodgers would’ve been basically helpless playing for the Jets, while bottom tier guys can look far better than they are when surrounded by the right people.

Totally different QB under pressure. He will get pressured in the NFL.
