Florida is ranked 17th in the AP and 20th in the coaches at 5-2. They beat #11 Texas (27-24) who is also 5-2 and #12 Ole Miss (52-28) who is 5-2 as well.
# 16 Tennessee beat # 10 Alabama 26-10. Both teams have the same record. Bama ranked higher.
Same with #5 ND being ranked above #8 BYU.

You are cherry picking games is the problem.
Tennessee beat Alabama. Alabama beat South Carolina by 31 points. South Carolina beat Tennessee. See the problem?
Here are some full view resumes of the teams mentioned.
Alabama's resume:
Tennessee's resume:
See the difference? Alabama has a bunch of wins against good teams, Tennessee has teams like Furman, Kennesaw Status, Arkansas etc.
Now let's bring in Florida:
And Texas:
Texas has the 2 losses, but it also had 3 pretty high quality wins as well. Florida has 2 bad losses as well, but then only 2 high quality wins.

You have to drop Tennessee for losing to an unranked team.

Wait until you see whatever Josh Pate’s poll that isn’t a poll says

Most cases they go on how your team looks currently, with few exceptions. See ND.

It's almost as if there's a bunch of circular transitive property situations and a ton of other variables that makes cherry picking head to head results useless.

This is why the 24 team playoff will be good. People are to biased to decide who are the best teams..

Carolina unranked - with losses to 2 Top 10 teams - that's the real crime here -

Problem with Florida is when they lose they lose big.

Like people won’t argue about 24-30.
Rabble Rabble.. So and so 7-5 team is better than that other 7-5 team that had imaginary worse losses and deserves the playoff spot!!!!

Losing to Miss St and Kentucky at home hurts you.
Kentucky is a top10 team when it comes to their resume, but nobody really expects them to finish the season there. Right or wrong, you aren't going to get top10 credit there unless Kentucky wins out.
And everyone likes to shite on Alabama, so you aren't getting top10 credit there either.
You got some good games left. While finishing 9-3 and making the playoffs is still technically possible, it seems unlikely. But if you could finish out with wins over teams like Georgia and blow out Clemson at the end of the year, I think you'll be in the conversation based on a strong finish if any other 3 loss teams are in the conversation. And if you almost win out and go 8-4 and play Georgia tough, you'll probably finish in the top25.

Tennessee might be the most overrated SEC team going all the way back since last season's Tennessee team.

It's my personal model, not public.
Here is LSU's resume since I'm guessing you are curious.
And here is the one I don't like, but I'm sure LSU fans will love. It's the predicted finish.
Hopefully it gets proven wrong in 2 weeks, but this is what it thinks.

It's their defense that gives them good ratings. Their offense isn't even in the top25.
