Possibly. But you have to consider the quality of defenses they are going up against week in week out.

I mean 4 of the teams in the Big 10 rank 98th or worse in rushing defense. With Texas Tech being dead last.

I don't, granted part of it is watching both play against A&M

Why do you say that?

OSU doesn't hang 70 on TT at TT if they can't play football

I wouldn't use scoring on TT (have to be a bottom 5 defense in the country) as argument for OSU. They have some good arguments, this isn't one of them.

I think Arkansas should be flattered by the comparison really

If they lose Bedlam, Arkansas will probably get a shot at them in the Cotton Bowl. It would be a shootout, but I REALLY like the Hog's chances in that game.

Apex, let me change perspective for u. Imagine Bama's one loss didn't come by 3 points to LSU, but instead by Kentucky by the same margin OSU lost to ISU. Should we be in the conversation at all?

You would be in the conversation, just not like you are now as "assumed" #2.

I think it's unfortunate how the media has set this up ("Alabama in a rematch")...and when the other teams lost. You still have the same number of losses as OSU and other really good teams.

Based on what I have seen, I am pretty sure Alabama is better than OSU...but I don't know that(it's an opinion), they have never played on a neutral field.

OSU has in fact more top 25 victories than Alabama...and they will be conference champs if they beat OU the preseason #1 team this year. The Big 12 has ranked higher than the SEC all year long...Why does that not count for something?

Alabama didn't win the big game at home...at some point, that has to come back and be a problem playing for the National Championship..

that's how I see it

I should have added that we wouldnt have beaten the unanimous #1 team during this analogous hypothetical.

LSU or Bama would score 40 on Okie state easy

Ok St defense is not worse than Auburns. LSU both scored in the 40s against them, but AUs offense helped drive up those scores. OSUs offense would be the great equalizer against both LSU and bama. I think OSU would have some success against bama's secondary.

I agree. LSU and Bama are on a whole different level than any other team in college football this season.

OSU vs. Arkansas would be a good game. shite, our D is better than OSU's.

I know that a lot of us don't really want a rematch but you have to look at the facts. Out of all the 1 loss teams, who can say that in their 1 loss, it was to the #1 team in the country by 3 points in OT and they held the #1 team to 3 fg's and not a single TD. No other team out there deserves to be rated #2 more than Bama. The current system we have says #1 plays #2 for NC. If it turns out Bama and LSU it is more than fair and may the best team win.

Everybody has scored about 28 pts on OSU, even ULLLLLLL scored 34.
We would put up over 50 pts and we would probably keep them to under 20 pts because their time of possession would be around 18-23 minutes.

Thank you Charleslsu, It would be an extreme honor to lose to you again.

Only one request, please beat us by end of regulation. In the old days of Charlie Mac and Bear, our records would be 11-0-1.

Seriously, I know I would feel the same as all LSU fans if the roles were reversed.

I think this is one of the weakest R Kansas teams I have seen in years. They beat no one with a decent record and got drummed by the two teams they played.

80% of the SEC was down this year (Including UF, UT and Ole Miss)

BCS pits the 2 best teams and based upon the CURRENT SYSTEM, it would have to be Bama.....I hate it and think it is unfair, BUT maybe it will lead to more fundmental BCS changes to eliminate these situations. Until then, it should be Bama.

Worded perfectly.

You must be 12 then, because this isn't even close to the weakest Arkansas team since joining the SEC. In fact, if we win the bowl game, it will be the best in wins and final BCS ranking.

Not many, but 10-2 SC isn't bad.

Very good comparison except i think we are better than okie state. Our defense is for sure better and our offense is at least similar. The reason they are putting up video game numbers is because they play in a league where defense is just on the field to slow down the offenses so you can have the ball last.
