Not all LSU fans are obsessed with them. Am I glad when they get beat? Absolutely—and I’ve felt that way since the early 1970s. But I don’t spend my time constantly thinking about them, or any other team for that matter.

Except that's an actual rivalry. From what I understand LSU and Bama have never really been much of rivals. In fact LSU's all time record verse Bama in Football is 27-58-5. That's (while not as bad a record), like Pokie State claiming they're a rival in football to OU, when they get the tar beat out of them consistantly. But we were "in state rivals". Y'all are separated by Mississippi. It doesn't make sense. So I default to jealousy and envy.
