If we would have had him this year we would have probably been in the playoffs and you would still be looking in from the outside.

Is it also desperate to throw lotto money at high schoolers?

Yeah, I get that you need a new DC.

I don't get why you threw so much money at someone who is basically a rookie.

Seems desperate to take that kind of risk on someone without that much experience who, frankly, hasn't done all that well as a DC to date.

Seems like y'all could and should have done better. Especially for the money you are clearly willing to spend.

This is such a casual take…

There’s way more to it than
quote:

one decent year - barely getting his team into the Top 40 in overall defense.
… Baker is the foundational piece of a larger puzzle… BK is putting the country on notice, the Boot is closed for business

We were desperate. To say our defense was historically bad may be an understatement.

hey, did UGA beat Bama this season, neither did LSU. and guess what, neither team made the playoffs. Kirby must be slipping. for 40 years UGA was a pushover. don't forget that.

Don’t y’all have a DC as HC and pay over 2 million for defensive coordinator’s

That’s the salary for good coordinators now. It is what it is

I think the point is that it is a huge stretch to pay Baker that much. No one knows if he's the type of DC that should get that type of money.

LSU may have just been taken. And that seems desperate to me.

give me the list of better coordinators that could be had for 2.2 million or stabs in the dark for less.

I mean, Missouri had the 34th best defense in the country.

Start with the 33rd and work your way up.
