Former Tupelo High School quarterback Chris Garrett will transfer to Ole Miss, his father David Garrett says.

Once a Mississippi State verbal commit, Garrett signed with LSU following the 2008 season and enrolled in January of 2009.

David Garrett says the admissions office at Ole Miss is awaiting one final transcript, but it is expected that Chris Garrett will begin classes Jan. 24 and will go through spring drills.

Garrett used his redshirt year at LSU, and will therefore lose a year of eligibility by transferring to Ole Miss where will have two seasons remaining after sitting out the 2011 season.

He's had three since he's been at Ole Miss.

Can you change title to "NSU backup transfers to Ole Miss". Appears Mr. Garrett may have found his fit.
Unless he is not named starter....then, it is Miss College time.
