I don't think it's going to matter because i fully expect bama to be an amazing team this year, but there certainly seems be be the ground work being laid for using the bye week thing as an excuse if bama loses. (excuse is a bit harsh of a word, but rational explanations of events around here are deemed excuses so too shall this be).

I agree. The whole scheduling issue will be top shelf if/when the team records a lose.

I agree but if Bama runs the table in the regular season you all will never hear the end of it.

Hah, because otherwise you're so soft spoken? To the victor go the spoils.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in this statement? LSU could VERY easily have a SEVEN game win streak over Auburn right now if AU hadn't gotten a second attempt on a sketchy PAT call in 2004 and a ridiculously "generous" no-call on pass interference in 2006. LSU being cheated in Auburn has been the rule lately, not the exception.

Deflection and another gump that compares everything Bama to AU to see if Bama is good enough and measuring up.

The bye weeks add another dimension to strength of schedule. Despite having some pitiful teams on the schedule, the fact that 6 teams are taking bye weeks (Bama does take a bye week before LSU though so that's kind of a draw) and Bama is playing a top tier Big10 team for its second game should make this schedule pretty respected...regardless of Georgia State.

Or it could just be that I was responding to an Auburn poster who was mocking the no-call on the controversial interception. You know, responding because it was, well, ironic. And, naturally, I explained why.

But I'll let you keep thinking that I'm trying to see if Bama "measures up" to Auburn. You know, since Alabama just won a national championship and Auburn won...the Outback Bowl. How could I ever be naive enough to think we could measure up? That 8-5 record is just too much to ever hope for. It must be lonely at the top.

Ha Ha! You mean the one that LSU fans claimed existed because Miles was playing vanilla with his offense? I had forgot about that pathetic little gem! BTW - welcome back jackass.
