So you wouldn’t trade O for Moorhead? Moorhead is at least intelligent.

Yeah but O does less I guess. I mean It’s not like O is calling our plays.
On a level playing field I would Say Moorehead is likely a better coach, but our talent isn’t a level playing field. So the coaching discrepancy needs to be very very big.
Dan Mullen is a great coach and only beat LSU in years where both MSU was pretty good and LSU was pretty shite.
It’s not like he ever beat a 10 win LSU team.

Why is anyone even taking this shite seriously? Even with the present state of Ole Miss' program, they are still much better than state. State doesn't even have a winning record against Southern Mississippi.
Let that sink in...they don't have a winning record against a fricking directional school in Mississippi. They simply don't deserve the attention.

You’re right, we have much more NFL talent than LSU this year.

Ignore facts at your own peril. State is better at Head Coach, QB, RB, OL, TE, DL, LB, S, and PK. I'll give LSU the advantage at WR, CB, and punter.
Now quick, go and dust off some recruiting rankings that nobody gives a shite about. State is heavy with upperclass experience that has played at a high level in the SEC (including 37-7). Again, ignore these facts at your own peril.

I like Our TE, DL, LB and Safeties better.
I like Our DC better.
I think Simmons is a great player, but the next best 4 DL on field are probably LSU players.
D White is a better LB than anyone you have.

I smell fear amongst the corndog faithful. The tears are going to taste oh so sweet after we take yall to the woodshed in Red Stick in October.

They return their offense and you gave up 280 on the GROUND to them. TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY.
Insane number of injuries and two targeting penalties forced us to field one of the most depleted front sevens I think I've ever seen from an LSU squad.
Barring anything crazy, msu won't have that luxury again and will face one of our deepest LSU front sevens in years.

I like your DC better too. The rest of this is rubbish.
Simmons is better than anyone on your d-line. Sweat led the SEC in sacks last year at DE. And the best DL on the team sat out as a redshirt last year. State can make a strong argument for best DL in the conference next year.
Safeties - I'll take McLaurin, Abrams, Landrews, and Cole as a group over what LSU has.
Linebackers - the collective of Lewis, Gay, and Thompson are better.
Tight End, ok, it's debatable.
I love this blanket assumption that State is under-talented on defense. Gonna make for some epic game thread melts.

Too bad the DLs don't play each other. All I know is MS ST OL was as tough as any team in the top 15 last year and they return em.

Y'all were super inconsistent last year. We have better talent at every position except DL and QB. Maybe RB. Coaching is a toss up right now.
Either way this thread is getting bumped in October.
ETA: yalls OL is a bit better than ours as well

All that defense yet somehow we gave up less yards and less points per game last year
And I think We’ll be better this year. W

I don't know if LSU has any position group better than State. Wr's and secondary maybe. Other than that, I'm not sure.

I would Bet our RBs are better, but I cant Really be sure
I mean I know We don’t have a Guice but y’all acting like Aeros Williams is some amazing back. He averaged under 5 a carry last year.

Williams is legit but Hill is a stud and a 1st rounder in the making. State was top 10 in D a year ago and return basically everyone, plus add 2 or 3 that would have started a year ago.
