Our defense got decimated with injuries that game. We ended up with 4 defensive linemen total by the 2nd half, it was just one of those fall apart disaster type games where nothing went right.

All kinds of excuses. What are the excuses for other losses? Injuries, refs?

Troy - same excuse, Bama well it was Bama, but we did outgain them offensively so progress, ND dude made a miraculous catch at the end for ND, hat's off to them, all the rest were wins.

LINK /

Let's pursue this link and see who is more likely to be correct.

Lots of goodness in that link. "No way State scores 28 on our D." "This may be our best front seven ever." "Aranda is on a mission."

Excuses or reasons? You really think state was 30 points better than us? Or maybe we had a lot of things go poorly that day. Every game is different.

Auburn beat Bama by 2 TDs, but if they played again, probably would lose by that or more.

On that calendar date? Ab-so-lutely. Mullen probably took his foot off the gas, tbh.

Now, 2018 is another thing. I've already stated in this thread that I don't like playing y'all later in the schedule.

Here's to good luck and 2 healthy teams when they face off

9-4 team with the most starters returning in the SEC is going to be worse the next season? Has that even happened before?

Maybe not but if I wouldn't put it past mititipitate to pull it off.

Thats kind of the point tho. MSU was trending down late in the season and LSU was much better.

I mean, MSU won. It was a 10 point game at half, but LSU just didnt have the depth to compete that day at all. Lots of humble pie for that LSU team early on.

Frankly, LSU and MSU IMO will match up well this year IMO.

Two of our Best interior D'linmen didnt even play last year and Key was not Sophomore Key in any regard. Our Oline wast patchwork and had zero depth.

MSU touts the "2 Deep" a lot and it certainly matters. LSU has that this year.

QB is a wash (for LSU). Nothing has shown to be better or "worse" at this point.

This game will come down to the LOS.

I for sure think our D front 7 will be much improved based on recovering from early season injuries last year (We stopped the run much better late in the season) plus the added Juco/transfer/recruiting depth.

Our LB's are outstanding and our secondary is always among the best.

It will be a battle for sure.

I think the difference for LSU will rest on QB, as always, and our Oline. O for sure recruited VERY well on the Oline and Dline this past season. Lets see if it pays off.

A lot of years, MSU's play at places like LSU, Auburn,Bama etc, depends on the experience level of our team. The more Bulldogs making their first trip to Tiger Stadium = the worse we play.

Unfortunately, this year the new Bulldogs who have never been to Tiger Stadium are the entire coaching staff. We'll see how that plays out

Don’t say us like your an LSU fan when you clearly didn’t watch the game.

We should have more than 3 DL for the game this year. That was probably th biggest issue we had on defense last year.

Our front 7 will be 10 times better than the time we played them last year and it will be in Tiger Stadium.

Y'all were right to laugh about the QB situation being a toss up - Nicky Four Picks is laughably worse than Joey Dual Threat
