Going be funny pulling this thread back up when LSU beats that arse

Not as much fun as bumping all the threads from pregame last year could be.

You won't see it. MSU is going to romp their asses just like last year.

The only game on the schedule that scares me. Every other game is a 50-50 or a win. Could be a very good year for MSU.

LSU will beat the brakes off Mississip State. Book it.

The "new, unproven coach" smack is probably the second silliest argument out there, right behind "all time record" smack.

Not so sure. Let me give you a real example using Ms St.

2016 MS ST defense was 110th in the nation. Changed to a new DC and in 2017 #10 in the nation in defense.

Shoop is a concern. With all that talent returning, there should be NO issue and if your defense falls off …. it will be him!

We had to start 3 true freshmen on the oline due to injuries. Guice was injured. 4 of 6 in our 2-deep DL were out due to injuries/susp/targeting. That is why the beatdown happened. It really will be much different this year.

oh so having to replace 6 on defense is better somehow?

You are replacing 6 on offense too.

All MS ST did was add depth at every position. They lost nobody. They literally just plugged a small hole.

If LSU wins it will be a nail biter, much like the last two games State played in BR

Says the fan base that keeps the throwing up 3 of the last 20 years or whatever it is anytime some mentions that beatdown this team put on you, not some team from 2000, which you know is in the past

Not applicable. Shoop was a proven DC and a hot commodity before becoming part of the Tennessee dumpster fire. The performance there had more to do with the culture in place than Shoop.

This will be the worst LSU team since the 90s. By the time we play them the wheels will be completely off the wagon. It wouldn't matter if they had not quit. State is going to be a lot better than LSU, just like last year.

In 107 day we will see what he has...

In 114 days, he better be all you hope he is.

I just hope our offense is polished with the new scheme—if so, we could be very good this season.

With the schedule change we get LSU October 20 instead of the 3rd week of the season. We should have the kinks worked out of the offense by then and they are at best looking at 3 losses by that point, possibly 5. I see us hanging a bunch of points on them.

May very well make the play offs.

I think a 1 loss MS St gets you in.

Unless magic happens and LSU finds a competent QB I expect similar results as last year. MSU is very good and very deep on the DL, the biggest weakness is DB's but I doubt LSU can take advantage of it.

Lol

Last year was a complete anomaly and you know it. Hell, State couldn’t have beaten last years LSU team towards the end to f the season. It was a combination of turmoil within the program and many young players on the field.

28-10 LSU this year.
