MS ST return both lines and 2 deep.....

Your “2 deep” with one or two exceptions, would barely start at Jackson State.

We had a total of 2 healthy DT's that game. Moo St. ran right up the middle all game.

Well, that proves your ignorance right there.

Can't we at least wait until it cools off?

It's hot as 2 rats in a wool sock out there

1. They lost their entire coaching staff who are all very good at their jobs.

2. We had 3 scholarship DL most of the game. And were missing like 4/6 of our 2 deep.

If we’re healthy the defensive line will be 100 different than the one that played last year.

Kansas State

Was ranked 95th in the nation in offense in the friggin big 12.

Ranked 90th in defense having to replace 5 starters. In the friggin Big 12.

Yet they stomped the shite out of LSU, took bama to the end.

I understand this is a sports board but damn... just damn.

And replaced them with great coaches. PSU had the 19th ranked offense in the nation. It's not like he is going to come in and do something different than his whole career has shown.

Shoop... Is the only ? Are they going to get the UT Shoop? or the Shoop prior to UT? He was handed the #10 defense in the nation....

They can twist, turn, throw it anyway they want. They lost 37-7 and all you gotta say. Alot of this talk sounds like last year's talk. At the end of the day, Coach O is the LSU coach.

It's the same old shite. "You've only beaten us three times since 1991, and we are recruiting giants, yadda, yadda, yadda."

State was better last year. State will be better next year. Better talent overall and better coaching.

MSU has played LSU ~22 times in Starkville; ~68 times in Baton Rouge. That seems fair!

2 of the last 3 have been close .. MSU losses of 2 & 3 points and a blowout of LSU by 30.

If y'all beat us again this year I will mentally move y'all from the "not worried at all" list to the "occasionally concerned" one. These things take time.

Different teams & Mullen is gone

They return their offense and you gave up 280 on the GROUND to them. TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY.

Watch the game. LSU came in with injured players on D already and ended up with only 4 healthy DL (one who was an undersized true freshman and another a career backup who was also undersized) for 3 positions. Once the flood gates broke they poured in on LSU and there was no way of clawing out of it.

quote:

You return 5 on offense and 5 on defense...

It looks awful on paper. The WR corps loses Chark (big loss) but gains Giles, the transfer from Tx Tech and they also lose Gage (career backup jet sweep specialist and special teams all star) but gains two 5* wideouts from LA.

Lose Guice, and there's no replacement, but there will be a more running back-by-committee approach.

Lose Etling, possibly gain Burrow. (If that doesn't happen LSU is screwed at QB)

Clapp is gone but he played most of the year injured and there's bigger, stronger, younger guys ready to take his place.

Weathersby is gone but once again, there's bound to be someone there that can match his lackluster production.

On defense, they lose all three of their RS SR defensive linemen in LaCouture, Gilmore, and Herron as well as SR linebacker Donnie Alexander, JR CB Kevin Toliver, and JR CB Donte Jackson.

LaCouture is replaced by Tx Tech transfer and former top 10 out of HS DT Breiden Fehoko.

Herron is replaced by any backup DE that takes his place

Gilmore is easily replaced by Edwin Alexander who arguably had a better year than him. (Gilmore is the hardest to replace)

Donnie Alexander is easily replaced by former 5* LB Jacob Phillips or Tyler Taylor

Toliver and Jackson are replaced by Vincent and Kirklin who already look like more natural CBs.

That's a lot of experience to replace but all of those guys have seen playing time and there shouldn't be any freshman outside of possibly the two WRs having to step up like there were multiple freshman starting day one last year.

And now he the HC at a different school.

Doesn’t have Saquon Barkley or a back anywhere near as good and is doing a different job.

Mullen has proven he’s can succeed at MSU.
Moorehead has not.

Also Mullen had a number 4 offense and won a NC at Florida before he went to MSU. Seems like you took a step down.
