Guess they forgot how beatable they can be when Auburn beat them 49-10 an Georgia beat them 31-3. Don’t forget about ole piss

The game last year got way out of control. Worst game I've seen LSU play since the 90s. Killed by injuries, awful penalties, shitty luck, and sleepwalking players.

Nope but both of those teams had credible passing games which forced the D to respect it, LSU does not.

MSU faced two teams that tried to line up and cram the ball down their throats last year, Bama who was nearly beaten, and LSU who got beat like a drum.

Bama seems to have found an answer at QB, LSU has taken 2 steps backwards in that department and will likely get beat down again for that reason.

LSU is 2-2 vs MSU over the last 4 years and looking at likely going 2-3 over 5, not sure why the fan base is so pollyannaish.

LSU’s only hope is that there is a bigger transition period for Moorhead with Mullen’s personal.

We were still Miss State in 2017 when we made your arse quit. It won't be any different this year when your QB is worse than last year

Considering LSU hasn't had but maybe 2 or 3 QBs that many would consider to "competent" in the last 10yrs... I'd beware of the magic. But as a fan, I like your attitude, considering State has won 3 times in the last 20yrs.

Of course, Mississippi State had nothing to do with any of this, right?

I'll give y'all credit for keeping your foot on the gas. But if LSU plays like they did literally any other game last year (including Troy) it's a much, much closer game.

All that being said I'm not very confident that we'll win in DV this year. Too many question marks for us.

Who, in all aspects of the job thus far, has been a vast improvement over the old coach. I expect there to be some hiccups the first couple of weeks as the team gets more efficient offensively, but Moorhead has instantly turned around offenses everywhere he's been...and he's coming in with a full cupboard.

The "new, unproven coach" smack is probably the second silliest argument out there, right behind "all time record" smack.

I think Moorhead will be pretty good but he's unproven as a HC at this level. We've seen just as many coordinators turned HCs shite the bed as have been successful.

I'll take unproven with a lot of upside over career losing record.

I'd take Bugs Bunny over Ed Orgeron

We had to start 3 true freshmen on the oline due to injuries. Guice was injured. 4 of 6 in our 2-deep DL were out due to injuries/susp/targeting. That is why the beatdown happened. It really will be much different this year.

Fitz will be running for his life, not down the field for a first down.

So, "at this level," to me, means in the SEC. Active coaches today who were coordinators turned HCs:

Mullen (proven when hired at FL, but unproven HC when hired at State)
Odom
Stoops
Smart
Orgeron
Luke
Pruitt

These guys have had varying degrees of success with one (Pruitt) being completely unknown, but I would put none of them in "shite the bed" category. The last assistant I can think of that came in and "shite the bed" was Sylvester Croom.

Moorhead has been a successful head coach before, although not "at this level." But he has head coaching experience, something that Smart or Mullen didn't have when they got their first jobs. His resume speaks for itself compared to others.

There are no guarantees, but we have enough information to make some educated projections as to how well Moorhead is going to do, especially with the amount of talent. It would be a lot different if they had Arkansas' or Tennessee's talent level in his first year.

That list is pretty bad . Not really helping your argument.

I was referring to FBS as "at this level"
