And a note to OP...had the O not looked like dogspit and taken care of Clemson, the LSU/A&M game would have finished as top 5 matchup, or close to it, for 2012. We'll try to hold up our end better.

Y'all got a superbowl victory against us because we missed a kick. Congrats on the upset.

I think you guys misunderstood me. There is a rivalry there, but THE rivalry is not here yet. It is going to be intense in a few years. I really think OU/Texas will pale in comparison. My comment wasnt directed at anyone on here, i was just referring to a few people I have seen on Texags, or heard talking, acting like A&M/LSU is some crazy/insane rivalry right off the bat. It will come in due time...soon.

Right now tu/OU pales in comparison to even tu/A&M, and those two teams don't even play each other anymore.

A&M is moving in a very Houston Cougar direction. After JFF quits running around, Sumlin will pass the ball 70% of the time...you really think that is gonna work in the SEC?

Sumlin never averaged 70% pass even when he was at Houston. The highest he ever got was 65% in 2009. Overall his Cougars were roughly 60/40 pass/run.

The only people who keep saying that are rivals/opponents who want this to be true. All evidence suggests A&M is here to stay.

Weve seen this song and dance before. You went 10-2 in the regular season with the two losses at home. Tied for 5th. Arky did that two years in a row reaching a BCS bowl (something aggie hasnt done in over a decade) and guess what-theyve tanked. Auburn went undefeated with a NC. Had better recruiting than yall are experiencing-tanked. Until proven otherwise you are a one hit wonder with that hit barely cracking the weekly top 40.

Anyone 30 years or older understands that this was a great rivalry beore it ended in the 90s, and will likely return to being a reat rivalry again.

I'm tired about these b.s. predictions about future records, etc. That doesn't even fuel the interest in the game all the time. What does fuel the interest is recruiting battles, fan bases in shared cities, divisional game likely to close the season, etc. Wake up

+1

Gotta see it to believe it, and gotta prove you can do it for a few years before we take you seriously.

aTm had a "good" year last year, kudos to Sumlin and his rockstar QB. But the SEC fans have seen:

--> flashes in the pan Petrino/Arky ~ Shula/Bama
--> one hit wonders Chizik/Auburn
--> total wipeouts Dubose/Bama (Bama's BACK bullshite)- Kiffin/UT - Dooley/UT.........

We've witnessed all sorts of shite over the years - Nutt/Orgeron/Tuberville/Fulmer/Francionie/Price/Zook/Hallman/Holtz...........

Auburn's wipeout with Chizik doesn't diminish the rivalry...

What does fuel the interest is

recruiting battles,

This will lead to a hated rivalry, in time...

divisional game

...as will this. The OOC didn't have conference repercussions nor, for the most part, national repercussions. When recruits and the outcome of the game start costing one or the other a shot at ATL, it'll get very heated.

fan bases in shared cities,

Yep, who's going to win Houston up to Tyler (and Dallas?)
