The SEC can go frick themselves. Our season is over. We have no motivation or reason to accommodate Forfeit U and the SEC after the way they have screwed us.

That sucks but was to be expected. This is why LSU fans were blown away at the complete lack of awareness by UF officials. Matthew didn't just pop up and has been projected to rake the east cost for a week. Prayers for your aunt. I hope Florida is spared as much as possible.

I know many people were asking the same question. I kept saying that there was no way they were going to play this game. I'm not sure why they delayed? Maybe we get some answers on who screwed up. The main point I was trying to make is that this is not a hoax. This is a devastating hurricane that has killed a lot of people and totally destroyed entire cities/islands. The complacency of people in Florida, even some of my friends and family is totally shocking. They have not experienced a hurricane like this in a century. They are not prepared and not taking it serious. I live in Houston, I know what the weather can do. You have elderly people in Florida living on the coast in mobile homes that are refusing to evacuate. I'm afraid we're going to wake up to devastating news.

I have seen plenty of people make light of hurricanes in the last few days. I guess some have never experienced them. Living in BR and away from the coast I have still dealt with 3 storms that left me without power for 5-6 weeks combined

The stadium was trashed and the building across the street was a triage for Katrina victims at the time. We rescheduled and played the game forfeiting our only bye week. The following week we traveled to play ASU in Phoenix even though we were the home team. You have drawn a very poor example.

The reason LSU fans are pissed off is that the narrative is LSU is now somehow inflexible when they have done everything up to now to accommodate the game. UFs AD and the SEC has painted LSU as the bad guy for not throwing the entire back end of their schedule out of whack to play @UF on the 19th.
No one wants anything bad to happen to residents of the state of Florida. I'm sure they do want bad things to happen to Foley and whoever is leaking all the news to make LSU look like the bad guy, pussy, etc.

You could have actually played the game in the stadium. People were saying that you should play the game which was nonsense. My point is that you had a natural disaster that hit the entire region and there was no way that a game should have been played that week. It's disrespectful on 1 hand and not prudent on the other because you're asking people to travel in areas that may be designated for emergencies.

This game had to be postponed. All the ancillary stuff on what UF administration did or didn't do makes no difference to me. The hell with them.

I honestly have not been keeping up with what happened, so I'm not up to speed on what narrative UF people are trying to create. All I saw coming to the Rant was people claiming UF should still play the game and that UF is scared/pussies. I don't care what team we'd play or not play, you can't play a game with a hurricane headed right at you.

No it didn't. We played ASU at ASU in 2005 and South Carolina moved their game to LSU under similar circumstances last year. You did not.

It's because UF officials refused to consider moving the game all week when we knew this was going to happen. We knew where this was heading and UF said everything was A-OK until it was too late to do anything about it.

And give up a home game and play 3 road games in consecutive weeks plus playing at A&M 5 days later? Why would any team sacrifice that when the option to play this weekend was available? Like was said earlier LSU rescheduled that home game for later in season, played a "home" game on the road, and moved another to a Monday. Pretty much all these decisions were AFTER Katrina hit and the massive effect it had on multiple cities and states and the destruction it caused. Florida today proved it had no effective leadership or balls and would rather cancel an SEC home game than play at an alternative site. If it had been played at LSU, what is the big deal? 11 am kickoff in Tiger Stadium with maybe 50K fans? Is that an intidimating venue? Florida pussed out plain and simple. If LSU had done that, then I would say they pussed but history has proven LSU would play the game anywhere if the game can be played.

Why the hell should they move the game? You have to Cancel the fukking game you numbnuts. How the hell are you going to play a stupid arse game while people are grieving or houses are in shambles. WTF? You expect Florida fans and athletes to get up for a game when their families and friends are in harms way? Do you really expect people to travel to a game in bumfuk Egypt when they can't even get gas at the pumps because the gas pumps are dry? Who the hell is thinking about a game while shuttering up their homes? Damn, you guys are some sick fukks. The entire state of Florida is declared a state of emergency and you're talking about playing a game. Eat a dick you insensitive fukk. I'm done talking to idiots that obviously don't care about people that are hurting and can only think of their own selfish interests. Fukk off.

It's not like LSU or the Saints played games before or after Katrina....... oh wait they did. It is called life. It is called for things to get back to normal. Yes a hurricane is horrible and all thoughts and prayers go to those affected. The reality is also sports play a huge part of getting back to some form of normalcy. LSU fans could not travel to ASU when that game was moved but we were able to watch the game on TV and it helped in the mental aspect of recovery. If you can't understand that, then I don't know what else to tell you.
