LSU-North Texas Football Game Postponed

LSU announced in a statement it had chosen to reschedule its contest so the campus could help the recovery effort. LSU has canceled classes until Sept. 6.
"The scope of this tragedy is becoming more evident as time
passes, and LSU's focus in on assisting the recovery effort of
our state," LSU chancellor Sean O'Keefe said. "LSU is a primary
evacuation site, and we are not going to conduct any activities
that could deter our mission of assisting in the recovery."
"The events of [Monday] and [Tuesday] morning have made it clear that this is not the time to play a football game," said LSU athletic director Skip Bertman on Tuesday. "This is a dire situation that rivals any in the history of our state, and our priorities are on participating in recovery efforts."
The rescheduled date for LSU's contest will be determined by the two schools and an announcement is expected within the next 36 to 48 hours.

We still played them later that year. North Texas, a worthless OOC game. And we traveled to Arizona the next week and played Tenn. right after another Hurricane on Monday. You guys pussed out, just admit it.

We gave up our bye week to play them later in the year.
And also played a "home game" on the road.
And moved another game from Saturday to Monday.
What is this thread supposed to prove?
ETA: we also announced this rescheduling on the Weds before the game. UF had no backup plan even as of this morning

Florida has known this was coming for some time and refused to relocate.
LSU has relocated a game before for the same circumstances so what are you talking.
Also North texas isn't an SEC rival.

And we had refugees on campus. Wouldn't be smart to have tailgates out there. That's why ASU was moved too

Its not worthless. We scheduled a home game against s alabama and have no reason not to play it. It is not similar to asking florida to play this game. The ohness is on the host to make things work. Not to inconvenience us because florida refused to budge. Losing s alabama would be because of what natura disaster? Losing the lsu game is because of the hurricane. It is up to florida to make this work. Not lsu. We should not have to lose income because of floridas inability to host

First off, ban yourself, this game happened. I know that because my parents had tickets but couldn't come because Houston was under Hurricane Ike.
Second, the game that got postponed was Troy. It got rescheduled because both teams had an open bye spot.
Third, I was hoping you stayed safe during the Hurricane. Now I realize you're just being butthurt about your university being a pussy.

That was a home game that we had at a later date, neither team had to give up anything and the game was still played. Like I said, we still played ASU in Arizona, which was supposed to be a home game, and played Tenn on Monday after a Hurricane. We made it work.
