State has half your talent, a new QB and new schemes on both sides of the ball with the same practice time

No excuses

Jacoby Stevens.

So we had like three 2019 starters playing yesterday best I can figure.

You post more about LSU than LSU fans.

Odd.

But some told us that the door had been kicked down, that LSU just reloaded now. All that talent moving on was no biggie because well, Bama. Just next bunch in. It is on your fans.

They had an experienced starter at QB. I'm not making excuses either, but expectations should be minimal for this year

LSU consistently brings in Top 5-10 classes. Yeah, you lost a lot, but you had a lot of talent built up behind them (at least you should have). Mississippi State is a program that also lost a lot from a team that finished right at .500 last year. They managed to beat you by two scores. If not for that pick six in the second quarter, the margin would have been three scores. At home!

I don't care how many players you lost off of last year's national championship team, there is absolutely no excuse for laying an egg that rotten. Talent alone should have triumphed over the Bulldogs. Yesterday's debacle comes down to coaching. More than a few of us have been warning you about the false gold Ed Orgeron showed you last season. He's no Gene Chizik but, unless the stars align again, my guess is you won't win another national championship with him at the helm. He's an above average head coach who had everything line up for him last year. Nothing more.

was still a top 5 top to bottom talent roster.

MSU had no business staying on the firld with the champs other than the pirate took Oeaux to Church.

Exactly. I told a friend that I was nervous when we found out Stingley and Logan weren't gonna play. But, I still thought we should win. We just flat out got kicked in the teeth and didn't put up a fight at all.

Rats fleeing a program they were aware would be under active investigation

Seems like common sense

but when many of us said LSU wouldn't be very good this year many of you, and I think even you specifically, advised us we were wrong

We don't lose 35 players and have severely limited practice every year It was an awful performance, but this is literally unprecedented turnover

Maybe y’all should have tempered expectations

This is the only point I was trying to make. I thought we could have had an 8-win season before the last three opt-outs, but I overestimated Brennan

They’ve lost more opening games than the past 22 champs.

I've never heard of a DC leaving a program like LSU for a program like Baylor, especially after winning a title.

the fish rots from the head.

investigate

Yes, I was stubborn, had too much faith in Brennan learning and predicted 8-2 (though before the last opt-outs iirc). 6-4 would be a great season
