No excuse! You supposed to reload. We were told all offseason, that you were gonna be kicking a$$ all year and maybe lose one. That Humble Pie must not be tasting too good.

Boo freakin hoo.

It's Miss State.

You got beat by a pirate in his first game in the SEC.

A couple weeks ago we said it didn’t matter. LSU had some much depth we could just reload. Blah, blah, blah. That performance was awful.

Dude.

It was Mississippi State. There is no excuse when you lose to them, Troy, or Vandy.

I remember Florida losing a lot of 2006, but didn't realize the extent. Tebow really covered up a lot of the issues I suppose

2007 returned only 1 or 2 defensive starters, and also lost 2-3 key backups.

All those true freshmen and sophomores from the 06 and 07 classes were future NFL players and had coaches that were actually developing them. They were a young team that lost 2 nailbiters to LSU and Auburn as the young defense faded down the stretch.

There's no excuse for O&Co not to have developed your last 2-3 classes better or to be so strategically overmatched.

They had an experienced starter at QB. I'm not making excuses either, but expectations should be minimal for this year

You're just trying to make excuses.

Two of the bright spots on defense were true freshmen- Ojulari and Ricks. Todd Harris (missed most of last season) and Mo Hampton (played some late last season) didn't play well. Flott and Evans (recent transfer from Nicholls State) got torched

Posts like this make it easier to laugh at LSU. Thank you for removing my empathy.

They've never had the same level of turnover + practices cut short, no warmup games, etc. It is an unprecedented situation. That said, State absolutely outplayed and outcoached us and deserved the W

That's the biggest crock of garbage of an excuse I've ever heard. You do know that they all have suffered the same fate during this pandemic.

I'd wager they had more than 70 scholarship players and 3 returning starters. Unprecedented on all levels. That said, LSU was still outcoached and outplayed

So what??? Saban, Day, dabo, always have there rosters ready with top notch personnel to replace them.... Hell Dabo lost his entire D-line a year or so ago. They were a little shaky but still made the CFP. Recruitment is fine with LSU, but QB recruitment is terrible and development. Don't tell me about Flynn or Mettenberger as they were ok at best. We got a bolt of lightning with Burrow only because he broke his hand in a QB battle with another team. Bert Jones, to me, was the most consistently good QB has had, but that was 45 or so years ago.

We don't pay as much as Clemson, OSU or Bama so lose more players to attrition

Boo Hoo.. Suck it up. MSU lost an entire coaching staff, including HC. And, completely missed entire spring.

Can you come with some other excuses.

You played at HOME, Death Valley? First game?
