No he fits in well in South LA. Kelly is an Irish Catholic, lots of those folks around New Orleans, back in the day there was an area called the Irish Channel in New Orleans. LSU has a parish on campus, Christ the King that has Mass at 8, 10, 12, 6, 8 and 10 PM. South Downs just near LSU is Nick Saban's old parish. Down Highland Road south of LSU is Saint Jude's, downtown from LSU there is Saint Agnes. All of these are like 5 minutes from LSU's campus.
He will fit in LA quite well, maybe not other places in the traditional South I agree, but South LA will do very well.

I like how posters, including some mad LSU fans, keep saying "bad fit", but never expound why.

I just watched the segment. He didn’t say it was a “bad fit.” He said, “I don’t know about the fit.” He then went on to say he knows X’s and O’s, and he doesn’t care if he likes spicey stuff or not, he just has to win football games.

St. Aloysius is right there on Perkins too. He has his pick of a lot of churches. Then if he wants a more traditional church, Sacred Heart is pretty easy to get to from anywhere in South BR.

Yes, that was the one I was thinking of that was Saban's old parish. Thanks I could not remember it. I Usually go to Mercy, Saint George or Sacred Heart. So floating Catholic I guess!! but I always go somewhere.

I prefer Sacred Heart if I go which I rarely ever do anymore. The old school cathedral style church and the choir there are amazing.
