Moves over the last couple of years demonstrate that when LSU lines up a target, they just can't finish for the win. To wit:

Lost Chavis. There was plenty of denials that it could ever happen followed by much gnashing of teeth.

They targeted Jimbo for two years. They flirted, woo'd, and when the chips were on the table, their AD shut it down because he had to negotiate and Jimbo had the gall to press for gain.

I may be wrong but they missed on Herman.

Now, some of the above aren't terrible losses, but the are losses in the moment of when the action was taken without the benefit of hindsight.

LSU puts their best institutional foot forward and they are turned down by their targets.

LSU, the jilted bride of the SEC West.

There were truckloads full of really sour grapes too with Chavis, I noticed. Quite a lot of them already with Jimbo.

You A&M fans see your team as champions.

The rest of the nation sees you like this:

I’d rather lose in the coaching hunt than on the field.

Administratively, yes. Put Scott Woodward at LSU in 2015 and Jimbo Fisher is going into his third year at LSU. That is a fact.

This is revisionist history if I've ever seen it. LSU fans denied it because we didn't think you'd be stupid enough to go for for him, not because we didn't want it to happen. And once it DID happen, we tried to tell you what a mistake it was.

How'd that work for ya'll, anyways?

How can someone from the now ATM call out LSU? Your success in the SEC has been pretty sad.

As for Chief Chavis, might have been some melting down but as I recall we were all tired of Third and Chavis.

What pissed everyone off was his checking out vs. Notre Dame in the bowl game. Otherwise I think everyone is glad he's gone.

When y'all start walking the dog holler back.

It's not nearly the job they claim it to be. Not everybody is crazy about the Louisiana culture either. It's a big job to a coach at a wake forest or nc state. Maybe an Indiana or Okie state. The vandys of the world sure but u never see guys leave power jobs or NFL gigs to go there. LSU could not go get dabo or urban Meyer for example. The few times they pulled a guy from a "power college" He usually couldn't get out fast enough.

We're about to see also the auburn job isn't all that and arkie is a little better job than people say.

Much more likely, yes.
Fact?

Will be fun if one day we fire Alleva and hire Woodward. Aggy will slur him as a backwards swamp kitten.
