And how potent was Saban at Miami? Ban bet that LSU beats Bama this year also with that Linehan offense.

Do Sark’s 2018 offensive numbers vs Linehan’s. That seems fair.
Comparing a team with Matt Ryan and Julius Jones to a team with Dak Prescott and Cole Beasley doesn't seem very fair.

ETA: We could compare LSU's OC to A1abana's OC?

That seems pretty fair.

I'm kicking myself for not bookmarking some of those Brady threads from this board.

Good times

I don’t think anyone really knows how they feel so the natural reaction is to melt

But truth is it’s far from a terrible hire. We’ll see how it will go. And remember he’s the PGC not coming in to install a brand new offense.

I don’t really know this dude. I just know we run the Saints passing game and Brady was a Sean Payton disciple. I wish we would have stayed with someone from the Sean Payton tree. I would be more excited to have an offensive assistant from the Saint no one has ever heard of than an old retread that runs a pro style offense that has no connection with the Saints and never worked with Payton. I am not excited about this hire. I am not saying this dude is shite or won’t do well. I just am not happy with this not being from the Saints lineage. I hope I’m wrong. I pray I’m wrong because instead of a young innovator we have a retread. That’s not new and fresh like we had but a old, safe bet. We didn’t have the best offense in NCAA history with old and safe.

solid post. I agree with you about Linehan's O having nothing in common with Payton's O. This really is a head scratching hire. Like I said earlier.........this looks like O wanted an "NFL guy" come hell or high water.

Could be wrong but I feel like this guy is being brought in more to work with Brennan and the QBs moreso than the entire offensive unit.

Linehan was fired from the Cowboys and replaced with a guy two years removed from playing!

I think having a former NFL head coach as a passing game coordinator is pretty impressive personally.

Especially when paired with the best OC in college football.

That could be the case. The article I saw said E would still be the QB coach. That doesn't mean Linehan won't work with them though.

LSU wanted to make a splash hire.

Instead was just a fart-bubble in the bathtub.
