As someone else said, they are everyone’s biggest game.

With Bama no longer being an annual opponent for LSU and Ole Miss on the rise, I expect.that longtime rivalry to heat up. I am happy about that though I think it sucks we won’t have Bama every year. I feel these annual opponents will be revised in the next decade.

It changes. In the past 25 years there have been times Auburn was, to me the biggest game. Florida also has had years of the big game. Bama with Saban was too. Most teams biggest game changes with what’s on the line those years.

It used to be, it’s definitely lost its luster the last few years. I was more of a fan of the UF / LSU matchup.

@OP,

For me, LSU's biggest game is Ole Miss.

I heard that from other LSU people. Bama or Ole Miss. Ole Miss has just recently been any good and Miss St is closer. Why Ole Miss?

Well, since it's annually been Bama's biggest game for the past two decades or so, I'd say probably so??

Not every year. Some years it was Florida, some Auburn, some Georgia. That being said since 2005ish more often than not the Bama-LSU game was the biggest in the SEC. Sucks balls it’s no longer played every year with the new schedule

I was with you until you said you had a friend!

And for me, Texas A&M has become the most hated rival.
Alabama is an afterthought.

For so many years Bama/LSU was for the SEC West, and most times Natty opportunities. From 2007 to 2023 championship hopes were on the line for at least one of the teams.

So pretty much Nick Saban fueled the “rivalry”. Hasn’t been much of a contest otherwise outside of 1980s.

ETA: And they only played each other home & home every year due to SEC expansion in 1992, which created West division.

Why do you think BK mentioned his one win over Bama in his farewell letter?

The guy made the whole state hate him. Perhaps his only accomplishment beyond wasting a heisman QB was beating Saban.
