He's very mobile. Great straight line speed and a little juke in him.

The designed, read-option keepers have been some of our most successful plays this year.

He's extremely mobile. He can run the read option when he needs to an he has moved the chains on 3rd down with an impromptu scramble consistently. His only issue thus far has been lack of accuracy (usually a bit too high) and throwing the ball too hard on short routes. But he has tremendous arm strength and can make every throw. He just need seasoning.

He's just as athletic as Manziel. LSU just runs a completely different offense. He'd have a ton of rushing yards at aTm or AU.

I wouldn't say this.

He does not have close to Manziel's shiftiness/juke and Manziel was insanely slippery. fricking magician in the pocket in college.

Harris has a much stronger arm and is faster in the straight-line though. If Harris has daylight, he can beat most players on the field in the foot race, which is an awesome weapon. Players have had angles on him to the sideline and he's burned them.

I hope that was intentional. If so...

Yes. He's one of the better running QB's LSU has had in a long time.

Manziel had quicker feet than anyone I've ever seen play the position. No knock on Brandon because he's fast and slippery and as stated he's also got some juke...but compared him to JFF is a joke.

His velocity control (or "touch") just isn't there quite yet. He has a cannon, but he can't seem to take anything off of it for shorter touch throws and the ball sails.

I think he'll improve a ton as the year goes on and he gets more game experience. I think by next year, he'll be a very complete QB, barring injury. His arm strength and foot speed make him a pretty elite natural talent.

ETA:

And he's been very safe/smart with the ball this year. Zero interceptions and 1 sack caused fumble on a broken blocking assignment.

Really intelligent kid IRL.

Yeah, I don't think he's the athletic talent Manziel is, but he'll be a more talented passer by the time he leaves LSU.

He's a self-described game manager, and that's basically what he's done this year.

He's Jordan Jefferson 2. He throws the ball 200MPH. Even on a 5 yard crossing pattern. He hits some good passes. Can pull it under and run but he takes long strides which means he chews up ground faster than he looks like, but can't really cut quickly... He throws goofy passes sometimes and then contorts his face to approximate the look one would have if you got your nuts caught in the gears of a combine...

You can tell at times he doesn't have the pocket awareness.

I just wish we'd do more shotgun PA with him. He's so much better from shotgun.
