I've never seen a quarterback improve as a downfield passer as Daniels did from his first to his second year at LSU. I didn't believe for a second he would make that improvement and was disappointed he didn't leave for the draft after his first year. Just look at whatever stats you want to about throwing downfield from Y1 to Y2 and Daniels went from sucking at those stats to leading the nation in those same stats. You might reasonably expect a big improvement from freshman to sophomore year, but to do that so late in his college career is, to me at least, amazing.

Yes, you could definitely tell that the game slowed down for him. I was incredibly surprised at the improvement, to be honest. The way he went through his progressions and then dropped dimes on his throws was truly remarkable.

"Hurt him bad"? 370+ yards in total offense. In 3 quarters. Safe to say, absent a blatant late hit that took him out of the game in the 3rd quarter, he would have had over 400 +yards of total offense. And, of course, 32 NFL GM's opinion vs yours....????? Even with all your alters your basic football IQ is ridiculously low.

1 read and run, was an accurate assessment for the 2022 season. 2023, He was much better. I honestly, did not expect it, but he was lightyears better in 23, than 22.

This pretty much sums it up.

This is one of those painfully low IQ threads where people who have the least possible information available also have the strongest opinions.

C'mon man, he was more than serviceable.

His accuracy and timing were great in 2023. The work he put in with Sloan was apparent.

Bama's defense hurt him last year bad. He will see much better defenses every week in the NFL. He's good at improvising and using his feet to set up big passing stats and seems like he's made if glass.. It won't be that easy next level.

We were score for score with Bama till he got a dirty hit to the fricking chin. Maybe try watching the games and talking out of your arse less.

Good luck with your nightmares.

If that play occurs in the NFL, Turner is eating a suspension.

It's clear that many of you didn't really watch Daniels last season, but then I am also reminded that many here said he didn't deserve the Heisman.

He completed 72% of his passes for 3,800 yards, 40 touchdowns, 4 interceptions. That's over 11 yards per attempt.

He was #1 in QBR in 2023. By many metrics, he was the best passing quarterback in CFB last year, in others, top 3 at minimum.

I'm pretty sure his 3800 yards and 40 TDs through the air had way more to do with it, but what do I know.

He had the highest QB rating inside the pocket and outside the pocket in college football last season.

He was putting up the same kind of numbers he put up a week later bs Florida before a cheap shot took him out of the game.

Bamas defense didn’t hurt LSU, LSU’s defense did.

Daniels would have won the Heisman if he never left the pocket.

You're responding to the same moron who thought Joe Milton was going to be the best QB in the SEC last season. Pay him no mind.

He has 382 yards against the Bama defense.
