Wilson does run LSU's system some of the time - I-form with play action fake off it. But our offense is much more complex than LSU's and we also run a lot of shotgun and empty sets, although I expect to see more run game this year with Davis back and no more Adams, Childs, Wright.
What is so difficult about handing the ball off and throwing it every now and again that Wilson could suck at? lol...

I can understand a LSU not wanting AJ or even Wilson for that matter. Yeah it makes sense to take the proven guy, but its damn exciting waiting on the unproven new guy. Not knowing what to expect and hopes are high. Homer tendency also plays a role. He is YOUR new guy and we always feel like our guys are going to pan out.

True, but I would take Wilson in a heartbeat for Mett. I would guarantee a NC if we had him

Nothing guarantees a NC. QB's get injured. Mett's a big boy, probably the least likely to be injured.

I don't really think Alabama's QB is all that great, and I feel really strongly that Mettsiah will have a great season.

I like QB's with atleast a little mobility and Mett has zero. Yeah I know. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady says hi. But its just what I like in a QB.
Mett did run a naked bootleg for an (apparent) 25 yard TD vs Ole Miss, that they called out at the 1. Miles had him kneel 3 straight times.
Hopefully he won't need to be very mobile if we get our running game going and do play action.
You're statement that Mett has "zero" mobility has not been proven yet - but, nice try. I know you're so hopeful.

I think people are looking atthis wrong... Mett could be a very great QB. He has everything you need to be a great player. He succeeded at JC. He went to UGA with people knowing he could bring it.
It's not like this kid is an 18 year old who has never played away from home. And if he doesn't pan out I don't think that means he sucks... It means he plays at AJ level. Mett is the obvious choice IMO. He throws a very catchable ball and I think he will have lots of success.
Its not like the choices are amazing or shite. He will be servicable.

You lost the man that was piloting that ship. Dont be too disapointed when it isnt running like the well oiled machine you are used to.
