Shits on the QB that is undefeated against LSU

Franks had zero to do with that win. LSU shite the bed in that game. It should have been over at halftime but the Burrow fumble gave Florida some life.

Technically yes, but yall think you are better than Texas, so logic tells me if you cant beat Texas, you wont beat Alabama and possibly others.

Didn’t Alabama lose to an Auburn team that got stomped by LSU and still went on to win the championship a couple years ago?

Texas lost 8 starters off a defense that was ranked 67th in the country last year.

So they can't better than they were.

LSU lost their 2 best player on defense so its not like a step back cant be taken there too. So we should expect a drop off at MLB and CB for LSU if that's the case

LSU’s defense will be better this season.Everything hinges on the Oline performance

Never seen LSU fans so confident on the Rant in a while. It appears all the hype is coming from your anticipated offensive production but why do you think your offense will be that much better this year than last year? Because Burrow is now in year two?
Obviously your defense will be dominant again but I still can’t understand your excitement over your offense
Objectively-

Burrow returns for year 2. Remember, last year he came in after spring, he had no continuity and no established WR- we expected the Texas Tech dude to be the #1, and he bombed. Burrow now has a connection with Jefferson, and he also has younger, more gifted guys that have had time to ease into the scheme.

Most of the O line returns and should be better.

We traded Brossette for Emery at RB. Brossette was ok, but really just a placeholder. Emery should be better, more explosive.

Joe Brady is apparently being groomed as the next OC, and he's bringing some modern concepts to the program. We've lacked that for at least a decade. Combined with a returning Sr QB, that has people eager to see what they try to implement.

What makes LSU fans confident?

What makes unbiased outsiders confident is a better question. Last year predictions for LSU were anywhere from 6 wins to 8 wins. This year it's between 10-11 wins. Pretty much everyone thinks we'll be better than last year.

Last year Burrow had a few weeks to learn a system he's never run with all brand new receivers who had also never run said system

This year, returning Burrow and every receiver, then putting them in a system they've run all their lives except for last year, returning the entire OL and adding elite talent to the RB corps, I think there's reason to be optimistic.

Short answer is both offense and defense will be improved from an 10-win 2018 campaign.

Longer answer:

Auburn is dangerous, but everything depends on the QB.
Texas A&M and Florida will take a step back in 2019.
Mississippi State is on the decline.
LSU's other cross-divisional opponent is Vanderbilt.

LSU is going into this season as the third best SEC team behind Alabama and Georgia, and the West will likely come down to the Alabama--LSU game. If they can get out of their heads about Bama, LSU has a decent chance of knocking them off with their new offense.

Delpit was only a sophomore last year.

Both L9U and Auburn have average to mediocre QB play. Nothing will change this year. Just another ride on the emotional roll coaster that is L9U football.

True freshman starter Derek Stingley will be an improvement at CB. Expect Tyrann Mathieu type game-changing results from him.

Delpit is also returning. There’s no way the backfield doesn’t improve this year.

Scott Woodward isn’t Joe Alleva. If your prediction is true, Scott will Fire O and hire someone who can/will contend for championships.

Tua played like dogshit against both Georgia and Clemson. Really stepped up when the chips were down.

Not huge, but bigger than it should be.

Either way, Woodward will do whatever needs to be done if it comes to that.

I mean, he guaranteed Fisher 75 million at A&M (not something I’m a fan of, but it showed his commitment to excellence). LSU is a lot easier program to make elite than TAMU.
