Baton Rouge and Louisiana had the same or WORSE logistics problems after Rita, the SECOND HURRICANE to hit the area in 3 weeks, happened.
92,000 showed up in Tiger Stadium on a MONDAY NIGHT, WITH the same kind of problems: EMT vehicles, people in shelters, traffic lights and signs down, still flooded and/or obstructed roads, etc.
Tennessee flew in THAT MORNING, played that night, and flew out right afterward.
Y'all are insane if you think that game could not have been played Sunday or Monday in Gainesville....

What they dont realize, is the French had a lost generation of men at the time. They fought their balls off in WWI, and lost pretty much every fricking male in that entire generation. Americans have no idea what that would be like. There were hardly any males available by WWII, and the country in general had lost their appetite for war.

Bruh, Guice probably walks into the end zone if he doesn't pivot the wrong way on last play. The stats say LSU dominated that game despite outcome.

No. People make fun of the French because of their general arrogance, even though it's universally known that they'll surrender or retreat at the drop of a hat (check out what the WW2 American Generals thought of them). And speaking about "losing their appetite for war", the Germans didn't seem to have a problem with it!
