Bama's offense is so different from their past schematically it makes this thread irrelevant.

The prevent defense and going conservative with a lead on Offense and Defense is unique and special and only happened in baton rouge. No other teams do this, and never will. Chavis actually invented it, and is to this day the only DC doing it. /narrative

Chavis defense Pros/Cons

Can be weak up the middle on runs
Plays a lot of fast DB's and LB's
Typically contains the sweeps well
Depending on the CB's they usually cover well.
At LSU pass coverage communication was always a problem and led to multiple busts in coverage.
Has always been good covering HUNH offenses for some reason.

4th quarter, soft D, 3rd & Chavis won't even come into play. Bama will be up by 20 heading into the 4th.

Do those who have us ranked as one of the top 25 teams in the nation just not know what you know?

Those were the same people who had LSU ranked in the top 5 before the season started.

So you tell us.

The end of regulation in the A&M Tenn game was just one big flashback for many LSU fans. It's crazy how shitty his end of the game defense is.

Garret needs to play like Barnett did and eat up Robinson.

Barnett registered one pressure. It resulted in a sack fumble, but that's the only rep he won against Robinson on drop backs

Preseason rankings...

You're comparing preseason rankings to half way through the season

Same idiots doing both.

So yes, I'm comparing the idiots' lists.

Was curious about this. Was Robinson just having a great game, or was Bama scheming away from Barnett?

They are going to jam their fingers in their ears but it was so familiar. You just can't depend on his defense against the 2 minute offense. It is disproportionately bad to how good the defense is the rest of the game. I don't think it will come into play this game though, Hurts/RB's are gonna make hay up the middle.

You obviously do not watch your own team then...

Chavis's defense play highly on packages and schemes. It works well because it allows your playmakers to be fresh and in on perfect situations. This also makes Chavis HIGHLY susceptible to the 2 minute drill because it's hurry up offense and he doesn't have time to run his sub packages and HAS to play base defense and cannot scheme.
